Opinions Please- Creeping Blood Pressure!

Hi all, I had preeclampsia with my 2nd child- showing signs at Week 32 1/2. I am exactly Week 30 today with my 3rd pregnancy, and when I went in for my appointment today, I discovered my blood pressure has started to creep up (132/74, when it is normally average at 120s). My dr. did not put me on an...

Re: PLACENTA ACCRETA

I have a friend who is 39 right now and with her 6th pregnancy, and they are watching her closely for this condition. However, there are many women who have more than 3 children via C section, and the I agree with many others who have mentioned- I too don't think it necessary to wait 18 months. I fo...

Re: 24 weeks & 5 days...should they be doing more?

Your gut is telling you what you need to do. You are having classic signs of initial preeclampsia and as MANY people on this forum have posted, it CAN happen at 24 weeks. You need to see either ANOTHER doctor, or go to L & D, or the ER if your blood pressure does not go down. This is nothing to be c...

Re: How much did baby aspirin help?

Thanks everyone- what is LDA? Thanks for the clarification. BTW, my dr. has indicated that the most recent studies within the last 2 years has indicated lovonox actually has little effect, but I know a lot of people are still taking it- as per this forum as well. I just found that interesting, as I ...

How much did baby aspirin help?

I was wondering if anyone could share with me how much baby aspirin helped with the delay of the onset of preeclampsia, using a daily dosage of baby aspirin? I am trying to find out truly if it was helpful for others who have preeclampsia with a previous pregnancy. This is what my doctor has prescri...

Re: Low Low PAPP-A Result + Peeclampsia?

Thanks everyone, on My OB basically blew of the results because the sonogram was perfect, and basically chalked up my MFM doctors as serving as a consultant for them (as I know others on this forum use MFM doctors more directly), and I expressed frustration they didn't do more! So, time will tell-- ...

Re: Low Low PAPP-A Result + Peeclampsia?

To be honest, I am more afraid of the preeclampsia than a child with a disabilty, but I am just frustrated it wasn't even discussed!

I love the analogy for the weather report/umbrella, and I hope that is the case for me! Thank you!

2nd time around Preeclampsia or NOT???

Hi all, This is a question for those who had preeclampsia with one pregnancy and it occurred with a 2nd pregnancy. Here are my questions: 1) What treatment was DIFFERENT for you in the 2nd pregnancy (.e. baby aspirin, Lovoxol, etc.) 2) Did preeclampsia come earlier, same time, or later in the subseq...

Low Low PAPP-A Result + Peeclampsia?

Hi everyone, At my MFM appointments, I recieved a very low PAPP-A result and my trimester 1 screen test at week 12, which ultimately also affected my integrated trimester 2 screening results as well for a child 1/70 having Trisomy 18. Now here is my issue, the MFM ONLY focues on the Trisomy 18, but ...
