Re: Csection questions

I didn't find the binder all that helpful really. The only thing that helped was taking the pain meds on schedule. They didn't give me mag and I had BP up to 160/110 (was actually sent home after a few hours with just a script for regular BP meds).

Re: 35 weeks- oh no :(

I was diagnosed at 34 weeks with my twins, but they held off until my planned 37 week delivery. (Though I don't agree with holding off that long as around 36 weeks I started getting dangerously high BP and my OB kept sending me home, when the MFM wanted me delivered if I showed any sign of pre-e get...

HELLP Syndrome PP?

Has anyone developed HELLP syndrome after the baby was delivered? I delivered my twins at 37 weeks on June 19. At 34 weeks they started really monitoring my BP and I started having chest pain and right sided pain. I was told by my OB that I had acid reflux (without doing any kind of check and dismis...

Re: Epigastric pain and breathlessness?

I've had heartburn on and off for a bit. Is that the type of burning you're talking about? I do have twins though, so it's normal to get more third tri symptoms earlier on. My MFM isn't concerned and has just told me to take Prilosec if it's bad and Tums for the occasional flare up. My BPs have been...

Re: 28 weeks and measuring significantly small?

Did they check your uterine blood flow or just the placenta/ baby's? Also, have you tried resting on your left side and increasing both protein and water intake. With twins many moms are told to do those things to help increase the babies' weights and it should help with a singleton baby as well. (M...

Re: Is gestational diabetes an preE related?

My MFM thinks GD is what killed my daughter at 27 weeks (Other opinions have included HELLP, cord accident, Slapped Cheek, clotting disorder, among others). I think it's highly likely I had it with her and was undiagnosed (wasn't tested until a few days before she died and was never told the result)...

Re: Pregnant with Twins

I'm now 22 weeks pregnant with di/di twin boys. One of my OBs suspects HEELP syndrome when I was pregnant with my daughter (and lost her at 27 weeks). I've been going to the MFM every 2 weeks since 8 weeks and will now go weekly (until twice weekly starts).

Pregnant With Twin Boys

I'm now 22 weeks pregnant with di/di twin boys. They are closely watching my BP as it's been borderline high, but not high enough for meds yet. They did check my uterine blood flow (and the placentas/ insertion) at the 20 week U/S and all looked good. We are now going to be going to the MFM weekly f...

Re: Baby aspirin in pregnancy ?

i have been diagnosed with blood clotting disorder, so I'm on both aspirin and Lovenox. After our 2nd pregnancy ended in MMC (died at 6 weeks, found out about 3 weeks later) I thought it was from starting aspirin too early, then the next pregnancy I didn't take it and that ended in a chemical. I was...

Re: MFM vs. OB or Both?

If you saw a MFM they wouldn't be an intern. They have to have extensive experience beyond the regular OB training. I see a wonderful MFM and a regular OB (though I see the MFM FAR more). I saw MFM at two other practices before I went to this one. She was recommended by several of the baby loss moms...
