Re: Update & one week postpartum question

Thanks, everyone! I did call and go in--they took my blood pressure and the doctor squeezed my calves to check for clots. My bp was, of course, pretty okay there (130/80-ish), and he said what you did, MomTimesThree, that now that I'm not pregnant anymore, they're not as concerned with 'slightly ele...

Update & one week postpartum question

Hi all! I was diagnosed at 28 weeks with mild preeclampsia. I was one of the lucky ones who limped along until I was induced at 37+1 in order to avoid the slip into severe pe. My labor was about as ideal as possible: my blood pressure was fantastic the whole time, my blood sugar stayed stable, I was...

And thank God that you do. Lots of us would be lost without it.

Re: Got to 35 weeks....

For whatever it's worth, I wanted to add that my midwife *just* learned about this study at a conference last week and told me about it yesterday. I, thanks to this board, already knew about it. My point is: I don't know how this information is disseminated, but I wouldn't assume that your doctors h...

Re: how long did you have labile bps?

I'm afraid I don't have an answer for you, but I'm curious too. Mine have been labile for 5 or 6 weeks now, but seem to be trending upward, and I was diagnosed with mild preeclampsia two weeks ago. I'm not on blood pressure medication, so I imagine that changes things as well. Good luck to you!

Re: How reliable are non-stress tests?

Thanks, all. He was quiet all day yesterday and the day before, but started bouncing around again like normal last night and this morning. I was all set to ask for an ultrasound like you suggested, Jamie, but he seemed more himself all day today and the NST was good. So, thank you all for your input...

Re: How reliable are non-stress tests?

Thanks so much for your reply! Yes, he did fine yesterday and I'll have another NST on Friday. My midwife said the same thing about coming in, but 2 NSTs a week ought to be enough, no? And I am getting my kick counts without any trouble. I've tried caffeine, sugar, etc. He's moving, it's just *diffe...

How reliable are non-stress tests?

Okay, I might be worrying for nothing but... I'm 30 weeks 3 days today and was diagnosed with mild preeclampsia during a week long hospital stay last week. I have labile blood pressures (anywhere from 160/85, 150/100 to 107/55), and my last 24 hour was only 324. I'm home now and going in 2x a week f...

Re: Update: Hospital stay and question

Thanks, all, for the input. My bps were a little crazy yesterday, so I decided I'd done too much. I didn't do much but rest today and things seemed better. Mom29--did you end up back in the hospital after that? Yesterday I had several bouts of feeling foggy and exhausted and noticed that my bps were...

Update: Hospital stay and question

Hi Everyone, I posted several weeks ago after my first trip to L&D to be checked out due to high blood pressure and a +1 dipstick. Sorry it's taken me so long to update. For a long time there it didn't seem like anything was happening! I'm 37 and now 29+3 with my fourth pregnancy. I have a 13 and a ...
