Re: Upper Rigth Quadrant Pain Question

I'm no expert and don't want to provide false reassurance, but do you know where the baby's feet are? The fact that it goes away when you move around makes me think maybe you're being kicked in the ribs. I'm 35 weeks too and that certainly happens to me sometimes. The location does sound like where ...

Re: she's measuring small

I'm sorry, I can totally understand your frustration. It's really hard not to have the normal, uncomplicated pregnancy you fully deserve!
I have had to have extra growth scans due to chronic hypertension increasing the risk of IUGR. I haven't had to see a specialist, though.

Re: Chronic hypertension controlled on meds - why induce?

Just wanted to update that my doctor, somewhat to my surprise, said he would be ok going to 41 weeks if everything stays under control.
I do have weekly appointments and NSTs, probably similar to most of you. Also, my meds haven't been adjusted at all yet. I don't know what difference that makes.

Re: Chronic hypertension controlled on meds - why induce?

That is such great news, Veronica. I am hoping to have the exact same experience (also working with a doula) so it is very heartening to read that that was possible for you even with the induction! Your girl is adorable...congrats! :D

Re: Chronic hypertension controlled on meds - why induce?

Bumping this thread...both for an update from the OP (who was induced yesterday, I think?) and to see if anyone else has experiences to share. I am fortunate enough to be wondering when my doctor will want to induce if my BPs stay well controlled, and I plan to ask when I see him next week, so I'll ...

Re: Probably unrealistic but... vbac? Anxiety is killing me.

I don't really count as one of "the experienced" but I do have a few thoughts for you. First, I am very sorry to hear about the difficult experiences you've had in your previous pregnancies and births and during this pregnancy. It sounds very scary and I can see how it would bring up a lot of anxiet...

Re: What was your experience on labetalol?

I was told (and I think I have read this online too) that it should be taken consistently either with food or without, as long as it's the same every time. I take it with food because it's easier to remember plus then I can take it with my other supplements. I've been taking 100 x2 since before I wa...

high BP + proteinurea but no pre-eclampsia?

I've seen posts on other forums where women say that they have or had high blood pressure plus protein in their urine but it turned out not to be PE...or that they already know they have high BP plus protein and they're currently being tested for PE. This confuses me. I thought the diagnostic criter...

Re: Ugh - not sure what to think

Your OB's reactions don't inspire confidence. I've always been encouraged, throughout my pregnancy, to monitor my BP at home frequently. Also, I definitely felt crummy first trimester but that didn't result in high BP. Do you have any other options for your OB care? Or is there a possibility of also...
