Re: Severe Pre-eclampsia in second pregnancy

I am sorry for your loss. Here is my story: I had a daughter in 2004. Pregnancy was very complicated with PIH but delivered at 39 weeks. Had second daughter in 2006. Again pregnancy was complicated with PIH, but not nearly as severe and delivered at 39 weeks again. Fast forward 6 years. I was pregna...

Re: Terrified of the unknown

I completely understand. My son was born at 25 weeks and he passed away 7 days later all due to pre-e. I am pregnant again and have been terrified, but today I am 30 weeks and 2 days and so very thankful. So far no signs of pre-e!! I agree with the above poster. One day at a time and little mileston...

Re: Post partum depression?

I lost my son at a week old due to being born at 25 weeks. I have had terrible anxiety with this pregnancy and am now at 24 weeks. I had a consult with a therapist who sees patients in my OB office. She said I am at a very high risk of post-partum depression. It was the first time I had heard of thi...

Re: Anxiety anyone?

I too feel so much anxiety. I delivered my son last year at 25 weeks and he passed away 7 days later. I am now 21 weeks. I try so hard to enjoy every day that I have with this baby, but some days I am so scared. No matter what happens, this is our last baby because I can't have anymore. I really lik...

Re: When should aspirin be started?

I did tell him about the bleeding at the appt and he said it would be okay and to go ahead and take it upon a postive test. I am so confused! I am tempted to go ahead and take it anyway. I'm not sure how it would affect the bleeding. I do bleed almost the entire first trimester (have with all of my ...

When should aspirin be started?

My mfm told me at my appt to start it when I got a positive pregnancy test (I was wanting to start it now). However, when I received his report of recommendations it stated to start aspirin at 12 weeks. I called and spoke to the nurse who said the dr. researched further and found the latest research...

Re: Suggestions for how to keep pre-e at bay

Thank you for your reply. I do have a good cuff and although I reported it to my ob last time, it took them 3 days to return my call. By then it was too late. Now I have switched to another ob and know to keep calling back if needed. My mfm did order a baseline/pre-pregnancy 24 hour urine so I compl...

Suggestions for how to keep pre-e at bay

I wanted to say hello as I am fairly new to this site. I was pregnant with my third child in May when I developed pre-e at 24 +3 weeks and had to deliver at 25 weeks. We were blessed to spend 7 days with our son before he passed away. As many of you know this has been an unimaginable painful experie...
