Re : Induction set!

<t>Thanks ladies! Yeah I'm a bit nervous actually. This is my first time knowing my induction date so far in advance. With my 1st pregnancy I was induced at 39 weeks the day after they discovered my preeclampsia. My 2nd pregnancy I was 36 weeks and was in L&D for URQ pain and my blood work came ...

Induction set!

<t>I go in Sunday night to start cervidil at 6:00 pm. Monday morning the plan is to start me on pitocin. I just had my cervix checked today and there's no change. Not dialated at all yet! Which is strange b/c with my 2nd pregnancy I was 3cm when they started my induction and he was 36 weeks (which I...

Eye twitching

<t>For almost two weeks now my right eye on the bottom lid is twitching. It happens a few times per hour and is very annoying. I can't help but wonder if it is related at all to my preeclampsia. I know if I mention it to my doctor they will brush it off as nothing but I was wondering if any of you e...

Re : I think I need a new PCP

I'm the same as Alexa.... After my first pregnancy I got severe PP preeclampsia. It took my BP 6 months to stabilize even on meds. At that time I was within normal weight range so obviously that didn't make a difference for me.

Re : Can it be pre-eclampsia with no high BP?

<t>I'm not an expert but in my experience I have had normal BP readings at my appointments but consistently high at home. It has been high several times at my appointments which got me my diagnosis but honestly if I wasn't high risk to begin with (from PE history) I wouldn't have so many appointment...

Re : checking for clonus

Interesting. I wonder why they haven't been checking me at my hospital's L&D? They only did once and that was a long time ago and I've been in since then after PE diagnosis.

Fluid around heart

<t>At my last BPP I noticed the tech paying special attention to my baby's heart. I go weekly so I know when something isn't routine. I didn't say anything though or ask questions at first. Then she said she was going to see if the doctor wanted her to look at anything else and left me there on the ...

checking for clonus

<t>Is it still common practice to check for this? Of all my doctor visits and L&D trips I've only been checked for this twice. Once in L&D and the other at my peri appointment. It has been at least 1.5 months since I've been checked. It seems they would check for this at my weekly appointmen...

Re : 24 hour protein question

<t>Mine has fluctuated too. I've done four so far and they have been...<br/> 150<br/> 430<br/> 215<br/> 220<br/> <br/> My peri has said even though the protein has went down some I still have preeclampsia. Once you are diagnosed they don't change it.<br/> <br/> What is concerning to me though is tha...

Re : Trip to L&D

<t>I know what you mean Kelly019. While there they checked it laying down in the arm that was above my heart and I knew it wasn't accurate that way. It's like they try to make it lower so they can send you home. I don't know what they're thinking or where they get their guidelines for checking pregn...
