Re: Has anyone else gone through this?

PE is hard on marriages, I know from experience [my husband left me and our kids and the stress around my PE pregnancies was a factor in my opinion]. Seeing an endocrinologist is a very good idea - about 1 in 9 women have thyroid issues post partum and that would lead to disinterest in sex, depressi...

Re: will i get it again?

Many women who have PE in their first pregnancy go on to have healthy pregnancies thereafter. If you have it in a second pregnancy, your risk is very high for having it in subsequent pregnancies. But since you had it with a first pregnancy, I would think your chances are good to not have it again. N...

Re : Michelle Duggar has preeclampsia

<t>I just heard this morning that Michelle did deliver the baby at 25 weeks due to preeclamspia last night - this was from a friend of their family, it hasn't made the news yet. <br/> <br/> I don't have more details but was asked to pray for Michelle and their baby girl [not sure what either of thei...

Re : When did your period return?

<t>Mine has come back between 6 months and 11 months with each of my kids. I know women who have nursed non-stop and still had it come back at 2 months [my friend was nursing a baby AND a toddler and hers still came back at 8 weeks!] and I know other women who will not see a single period until the ...

Re : Question about Blood Pressure Medication

<t>Blood Pressure meds never lowered my BP in pregnancy, I think they really need to be monitoring you closely. Meds never worked for me at all when I was pregnant [except for MagSulfate. That worked great :) ] .<br/> <br/> None of us wants a preemie, but you AND your baby are safer with the baby ou...

Re : Starting Solids With Preemies?

<r>Thank you guys so much!!! I really appreciate the advice. I did ask my Ped, but I don't trust her advice <I><s>[I hate to say it]</s>. Our old Ped [who we adored] quit practice a few months back and this new one gives radically different [and odd] advice IMO... so, I appreciate y'all's "been ther...

Starting Solids With Preemies?

<t>Anyone have advice on starting solids with preemies? <br/> <br/> My 34 weeker just turned 6 months old [I can NOT believe it! What a whirlwind blur of a 6 months!]. <br/> <br/> With my other babies I started them on solids right at 6 months. Do I start her now? Or do I wait? Developmentally she i...

Re : Momma guilt

<t>Oh, I cut Gemma's nails for the first time last week [at 3 months old now!] and I cut her - bad! My hand slipped - she was bleeding. I felt SO horrible - I cried and cried [even more than she did]. <br/> <br/> So, boy, I hear you. Fortunately, she still likes me. :) But it was just awful!<br/> <b...

Re : Spoke too soon ... a bit long

<t>Alice, <br/> <br/> I'm so sorry things are already getting iffy. I, like others, hope it is just a fluke and you go on to do really well. <br/> <br/> I don't know if this will help you or not, but my first 3 were "full term" inductions at 38.5 weeks and 2 of the 3 dealt with the kind of chronic, ...

Re : Terrible Three's

<t>Kara, <br/> <br/> I don't have too much to add - just to give you hope - she really WILL turn back in to a sweet little girl again and you WILL enjoy her again one day. :) Three has always been worse than 2 at our house too - and then, fortunately, they regain their sanity around 4-5 years of age...
