Re: Did anyone have nephrotic range proteinuria prior to pre

Thanks, Lauren! I definitely will need to see a high-risk doctor before I try. I've just been putting it off in hopes that the proteinuria will be treated first. It's still always nice to hear from others with similar situations, though. That way if a high-risk dr says there's no way you can get pre...

Did anyone have nephrotic range proteinuria prior to preg?

Hi all, I was just wondering if anyone here had nephrotic range proteinuria prior to pregnancy? I am not pregnant, but am really hoping to try in the next year or so. I recently found out that I have IgA nephropathy, but I do have 100% kidney function at this point in time. At my first and only 24 h...

Re: Would You Risk It?

Thanks for sharing. Angieb. I've had my thyroid checked, and I know I don't have PCOS. I'm not sure what else to have them check for--aside from whatever my nephrologist finds wrong with me. I know I don't have type I or type II diabetes, but as I understand, there other types that don't show up in ...

Did you have chronic proteinuria before pregnancy?

I know I've started two other threads about this, but I figured I would start one on the subject alone. I'm wondering if there's anyone out there who had chronic proteinuria prior to pregnancy, and how it affected their overall experience with preeclampsia? Thanks in advance!

Re: Would You Risk It?

Thanks so much for responding (and for responding in my other thread, too)! I actually didn't even know high-risk doctors existed, let alone what to call them, so thanks for that info!

Questions about chronic high BP and proteinuria before preg?

As I wrote in another post, I'm trying to decide if I should get pregnant now since I have concerns about fertility, or if I should try to lose weight as my OBGYN recommends. My primary doctor and another primary doctor I saw seems to think I'll be fine, but my OBGYN has me scared to death I'll die ...

Would You Risk It?

I'm 25 years old, not pregnant at the moment, and I have chronic proteinuria. I'm not sure what the cause is yet; I saw a urologist who said it was due to cystitis, but I'm now following up with a nephrologist in the next few weeks hoping to find the cause. In addition to chronic proteinuria, I have...
