Re : MTHFR test- not medically necessary??

<t>Have you tried to contact your insurance company directly to find out if they will cover the test? Maybe you don't need a referral from your OB, just your peri. The lab doesn't necessarily know who the referral should come from, but your insurance will know what they need to cover the bloodwork.<...

Re : Meet & Greet

Hi Alli,

Are you still trying to get a group together at the Lowry Park Zoo? I'd be interested. We live in St. Petersburg, so we're fairly close.

<t>Hi there,<br/> <br/> with my first pregnancy, I developed severe preeclampsia at 32 weeks, but my BP and proteinuria were rising from 20 weeks on. I delivered via emergency c-section at 32 weeks and my son weighed 2lbs 11oz and was 14" long. He had some complications and ended up in the NICU for ...

Re : What if *I* don't want to be done TTC

<t>Hi there,<br/> <br/> getting an IUD isn't a permanent BC decision. You can have it removed and get pregnant right away - when you're ready to try again for another. I also had a Mirena IUD. It was a very simple in office procedure that took 5 minutes and to remove it took 10 seconds. I became pre...

Re : Postpartum joint pain?

So, I saw my Dr. yesterday and he also said it might be carpel tunnel. He said if it doesn't clear up in a while, I should check it out to make sure I don't have arthritis.

thanks again for your replies!

Re : Postpartum joint pain?

I don't think I'm doing anything different now than when I was pregnant. It seemed to happen after my swelling went down. My hands were pretty swollen and when I lost all of the fluid, my joints started hurting. I'm not nursing, so I don't think I'm holding him in any strange position.

Postpartum joint pain?

<t>Hello,<br/> <br/> It will have been 6 weeks ago that I had my baby - pre-e free! I had pre-e with my first and delivered at 32 weeks. With this one, I actually went a week over my due date. I was pretty swollen at the end, but had no protein or high blood pressure - although my blood pressure was...

Re : So, another question....

<t>Hi there,<br/> <br/> If I were in your position, I would give them a call and make an appointment to go in. When was the last time you saw the doctor? Maybe you can keep a record of your blood pressures - like 2 or 3 times a day and bring them in when you have your appointment. Maybe you can also...
