Re : High Blood Pressure -- Still

<t>Nancy...<br/> <br/> It's actually not so bad being here. It brings back a lot of memories, but not all of them are so horrible, and I have a lot of opportunity to speak with new parents of preemies and share my experience. When my daughter was in the NICU, a family friend gave me her granddaughte...

High Blood Pressure -- Still

<t>Rats. Rats, rats, and more rats. You know, I never had high blood pressure before I was pregnant, and didn't have high blood pressure until a couple days before I had Allegra. It's been 2 1/2 years since then, and my blood pressure is still high. My doctor has decided that no way will it ever nor...

Re : Did you enjoy being pregnant?

<t>You know, I wasn't pregnant long enough to be sick of it. I felt great in my first trimester (except for the fatigue and excessive thirst, LOL -- no morning sickness at all), and what I experienced of my second trimester was great too. I had just bought some great summer maternity clothes (I spen...

Re : Question of the Day: when did your symptoms start?

<t>At 24 weeks I had a visual disturbance -- I lost all peripheral vision in one eye, could only see stars in the periphery. Went to a neurologist just a few days later (I had had a subarachnoid hemorrhage that summer prior to getting pregnant, so my doctor took no chances), but he said in all likel...

Re : How long from your PE diagnosis until delivery?

I was diagnosed by my OB at 8 am Saturday morning (had the resident on call been a little more educated, I might have been diagnosed 6 hours earlier), and was delivered of my daughter by 3:29 pm the same day, at approximately 28 weeks (27 3/7).
