Re : How are your preemies??? UPDATES!!
<t>Oh how I love updates - especially about the older preemies!!!! I don't get a chance to post much, but had to chime in on this thread!<br/> <br/> My peanut, Madeleine, will be 6 in April and is skinny (41 lbs), but tall (46")! She just passed the two year mark of being diagnosed with hepatoblasto...

Re : My preemie is going to kindergarten! PART 2
<t>Jenn - <br/> <br/> My preemie started "big girl school" last week. Amazingly enough neither of us cried! She waltzed off with her teacher and clasmates with a big smile, a wave and one small backwards glance. I think I was so in shock at her almost giddyness, that it kep me from crying!<br/> <br/...

Re : I don't understand this
<t>I can absolutely relate. My dd just turned 5 (how did *that* happen!?!) and even now, I still<br/> get wistful, melancholy, angry, happy and just plain weird around her birthday. It was really tough at her first birthday, but her 2nd and 3rd weren't *too* bad. Her 4th and 5th have been doozies (s...

Re : Only child
<t>This is something I struggle with too. I'm an only child myself and<br/> always wanted a sibling, so I was determined to have two<br/> kiddos. But PE changed that for us. Given my "advanced<br/> maternal age" (sheesh - I'm not even 40 yet!) and my last<br/> experience, it's just not wise and fran...

Re : HOW ARE ALL THE PREEMIES DOING
<t>Thanks Brown Cow (boy that seems odd to call you that!)!<br/> You're right - we're praying that we're done now with the<br/> medical drama! It was funny - okay, it wasn't "funny-hah-hah",<br/> but "funny-odd" . . . I was just finally getting ready to believe<br/> that there wasn't going to be ano...

Re : Rachel~maddiekinsmom
<t>Hi Wendy!<br/> <br/> Thanks so much for your note. I've been lurking, but I rarely have time to post anymore. The whole cancer thing for Maddie just turned our world upside down and i really delved into the questions and research on that front. I have a sneaking suspicion that the cancer does hav...

Re : HOW ARE ALL THE PREEMIES DOING
<t>Madeleine, my 29 weeker is just 3 weeks shy of her 5th birthday. She weighed 1lb, 14 oz. and was in the NICU for 63 days. She had some EI services - mostly fine and gorss motor skills. She didn't walk until she was 18 months, but talked " on schedule". Her biggest hurdle (besides being born too e...
