Turns out I have hypothyroidism -- caused pre-e?

<t>At 6 weeks postpartum, my OB passed on my care to my family doctor. I had him run TSH tests since I was due (family history of thyroid issues). Turns out I have hypothyroidism! I went online and googled pre-e/hypothyroidism and it seems like untreated hypothyroidism is a common cause of pre-e!<br...

Re : bottle/formula ?s and anyone have similac coupons?

<t>I think we found a bottle he likes! Dr Brown's -- we are going to buy more today. He's taking 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 ounces per feeding from the Dr Brown's.<br/> <br/> Thanks for the tips on formula. I have already signed up on the manufacturer's websites, I will check with our ped for coupons at the 2 w...

bottle/formula ?s and anyone have similac coupons?

<t>We were at the hospital for 6 nights, and we used those handy ready to feed similac bottles (I tried to breastfeed but quit due to various reasons -- including inverted nipples plus BP meds). Dylan really got used to those bottles at the hospital. <br/> <br/> 1. What type of bottles does everyone...

Re : We are home!

Thanks everyone! My BP bottomed out today -- 100s/60s -- I talked to my OB and we are going to start backing off on the labetalol. I'm on 400 mg twice per day and will now be going to 300 mg.

I'm pretty dizzy due to the low BP so I am still taking it easy. Dylan's still doing great.

We are home!

<t>Got home today -- not much time to write but I just wanted to post that we are okay. I had posted last week saying I was worried about my 36 week c-section, and I hoped baby Dylan would get to come home with me. Well, I should've said, I hope I get to go home with baby Dylan LOL. <br/> <br/> My B...

Re : Nervous, delivery at 36 weeks

<t>Thank you for more of your stories! I will come report back my experience after we get home. I should be home by Thursday, although my OB warned that they may keep me longer if my BP isn't controlled.<br/> <br/> With DS #1, my BP did not return to normal levels until 2 months later, but it improv...

Re : Nervous, delivery at 36 weeks

<t>Thanks for sharing your experiences. I was told that the steroid shot is not given at 35 weeks and later anymore. Apparently there was no proof that it helped after 34 weeks.<br/> <br/> I asked my OB about the amnio -- but he didn't want to subject us to an an unnecessary procedure as he really t...
