Re: Severe HELLP in second trimester - should I try again?
Hi Kelli, I don't post much on here but I have been lurking around since 2006 or so. My story is so similar to yours; severe HELLP, the emergency c-sect under general, DIC, the central line, trying to hold on as long as possible, the ups and downs of NICU and care after coming home. There are severa...

Re: HELLP causing ITP
Hello, I don't think it can cause ITP but I know if you have ITP you are likely to have HELLP or PE in one form or another during pregnancy. PE and HELLP can unmask all kinds of things that you might be predisposed to having later in life, cardiovascular problems, hypertension, etc. Perhaps it is th...

Re: Atypical HELLP Syndrome
I am so sorry for your loss. HELLP is so sneaky especially the upper right quadrant pain. I have seen it dismissed as heartburn, round ligament pain, braxton-hicks, baby moving or growing...etc. The best thing you can do is stay vigilant.
Please be easy on yourself.

Re : Survivor HELLP Class I, My Story/ Questions
<t>Hi Ester,<br/> I am sorry to hear about your sweet angel; it is a terrible disease! My story is similar but HELLP started at 26 weeks. I was on BP meds for about 6 months after delivery, they were tapered but it takes a long time for your body to "equalize" itself and i think it varies with every...

Re : partial HELLP
Hello,
There is such a thing as partial HELLP. You can have any variation of it and it still be just as dangerous and scary.

Interesting Site
I ran across this and it is specific to HELLP but they mention PE throughout it as well. I have not looked completely for accuracy but on the surface it appears thoughtful.
