Re : What were your outcomes with subsequent pregnanc ?

I'm almost 39 weeks in my second pregnancy and not a single trace of pre-e or even PIH. I didn't take aspirin because my doctor didn't want me to. I never thought 2 pregnancies could be so different even though every says that but it can happen! Good luck to you.

Re : IUGR predicted by doc

<t>Mrs. Spit- thats good to know about the cord flow, thank you:) The plan is just to continue the frequent ultrasounds and just call immediately with any pre-e symptoms. I'm also taking my bp at home. She's pretty sure if I do get pre-e again and IUGR that it will happen around the same time it did...

Re : IUGR predicted by doc

<t>Thank you ladies, you've been very reassuring!! Those are the exact sentiments I had about it; how can she say such a thing about a 47% baby!! She did say its the trend that concerns her, but I would have to imagine that baby's through growth spurts in there. As far as switching to a peri, she is...

IUGR predicted by doc

<t>I had a 28 week ultrasound yesterday (I have one every 4 weeks)and the baby was in the 47% for size. Last time he/she was in the 67%. The time before that it was upper 60's also. Anyway, my doc said that based on that it looks like I may be heading in the same direction with things (that being IU...

Re : do you always get symptoms

<t>Wow, I'm surprised your doc is willing to let your bp get that high before going to L&D. I would go in right away if you're at 111. I felt great during my pregnancy even when my bp was 170/110. I didn't have a headache or anything besides ankle/hand swelling. I never felt sick at all until I ...

Re : ques. about time between appts.

<t>Thanks ladies:) I don't know exactly when I developed pre-e last time because I had lots of swelling from about 30 weeks on and rising bp at 32 weeks but they weren't worried. At 34 weeks things went really wrong and I was delivered at exactly 35 weeks. I guess I shouldn't worry unless I start sw...

ques. about time between appts.

<t>Hi there:) <br/> I'm just wondering if anyone else who has had at least one pre-e pregnancy is still on the same appt. schedule as non high risk patients. Granted I'm getting ultrasounds every 4 weeks but I'm not being seen at all (or even told to check bp) from 24 weeks to 28 weeks. This just sc...

Re : Baby aspirin to "prevent" pre-e

<t>herwegoagain,<br/> I don't know exact sources but after having my dd I came home and did some research on why this happened to me (I always considered myself so healthy) and I found that pcos increases risk of developing pre-e. I've seen it discussed on this site but I don't recall where. Maybe y...

Re : Baby aspirin to "prevent" pre-e

<t>Thank you so much for responding ladies!! You've all been very helpful and informative! <br/> <br/> I am so sorry for your losses Mrs. Spit and Fran. <br/> <br/> I think I will just keep things the way they are and not take baby aspirin. I do want to clear this up though, my doctor said I could i...

Baby aspirin to "prevent" pre-e

<t>I know I've read that a lot of women are taking baby aspirin to possibly minimize their chance of getting pre-e again. This was always my plan for my 2nd pregnancy but my obgyn scared me off by telling me it could cause a miscarriage. I'm so confused because I thought some women take it to preven...
