Re : For those who had PE in successive pregnancies

<t>Later and waaaay less severe.<br/> <br/> My first pregnancy was fine. No compliations. My second pregnancy was a nightmare. Went from having a headache, to having seizures in a period of about 6 hours. (And if the hospital had have done their job, the seizures may have been preventable. They wait...

Re : OB says no to mfm unless problems

<t>My care was switched to a peri when with my second. I visited him after the birth and talking about getting pregnant again.<br/> <br/> My OB insisted that I didnt need to see a high risk Doctor, because of all the testing that was done and the way things were going/happened in the past. I was on mag my second pregnancy (severe ECLAMPSIA) and I was also put on mag my third pregnancy and I only had a diagnosis of PIH at the time. My bp actually lowered during induction, but my lab work came back and wasnt looking so great about 6 hours in.

Better safe than sorry!

Re : Bedrest for PIH?

<t>I wasnt put on bedrest when I developed PIH the second time. I was *just* 36 weeks (that day or something) and we decided to induce. My reflexes were already extremely brisk and since Id suffered seizures and very sudden onset in a previous pregnancy the benefit of inducing a tiny bit early outwe...

Re : Preeclampsia reoccurrence and guidance needed?

Welcome! ( & congrats! )

The others have all given wonderful advice. Id connect with a MFM/peri ASAP. See what the recommedations may be, and go from there.

In my case, reoccurance was later on, and less severe. Not sure how it works after-birth though.

Reading Kelleys post...

<t>Has me thinking.<br/> <br/> Im one of 'those' that 'only' had a diagnosis of PIH this time around. I went in for my 36 wk appt ( I was only 36 wks that day ) and I *knew* I was getting sick. Swelling, headachey, could feel my reflexes terribly.<br/> <br/> Now, he took my bp. It was higher. Not as...

Re : I'm beginning to think I'm crazy

<t>Id ask your Doctor to re-do. I thought I was the only one that could 'hear' it in my head, lol. I too always watched, and was always right on with the readins my OB would tell me.<br/> <br/> Do you have training in reading? Are they letting the air out of the cuff very quickly, and maybe you aren...
