Re : Headache

My blood pressure spikes from any sort of pain so it's been a real "chicken or egg" game lately. I think it just depends on the person but my highest bp readings have been when I had a migraine and when I had a ruptured ovarian cyst.

Re : contractions related to PIH?

<t>I've always been told that contractions are braxton hicks if they stop when you do the opposite of what you were doing when they started. If you were walking then they should stop when you lay down, etc... <br/> <br/> But, this is my first pregnancy, so I don't know what a 'real' contraction feel...

Re : Drake is doing better @ Level 3 NICU

<t>Hey, Lynne! <br/> <br/> Glad to hear that Drake is doing better! Let me know how you feel about your NICU experience at the new hospital, I have a feeling it's the same one we are *supposed* to deliver at although I might fight for Children's if we have a preemie. <br/> <br/> Still praying for al...

Re : Hospital records question

I know when I've requested hospital records in the past that the lab usually has separate copies of test results. Maybe you could check with them?

Re : More questions

Thanks, Fiona.

I got more labs results back and they showed that I have white blood cells and bacteria present in my urine so hopefully it's more of an infection of some sort then the beginning of pre-e.

Re : More questions

I got my protein results back today and it was 254 for my 24 hour collection. What is the cut-off for pre-e? 300 or 500?

More questions

<t>I finally went and bought a blood pressure cuff so I can keep better track of whats going on when I'm at home. I've been consistently getting measurements of about 120/78, sometimes lower, sometimes a little higher but for the most part it's been pretty stable. <br/> <br/> My baseline ran high be...

Re : High BP and further testing...newbie questions.

<t>That helps alot, I also read as much as I could find about the individual numbers and results.<br/> <br/> I had high bp before pregnancy and am wondering if part of the high protein isn't from that, it's been 2+ years since I was originally diagnosed and I wouldn't be surprised if I had some init...

High BP and further testing...newbie questions.

<t>Hi! <br/> <br/> I'm 24 weeks 1 day and was checked last week for high blood pressure. I had some vision spots, a headache and bp of 148/92. I was put on Aldomet 500mg a day and it seems to be working as my bp is back down in the normal range of 128/72. I was seen in L&D for totally unrelated ...
