Re : Has anyone had more kids after suffering HELLP
<t>I too had severe HELLP, and an abruption. Strangely, I never had the upper right quad pain, even when liver enzymes were at 800+. I had very few symptoms which is one of the reasons my 2nd preg was so scary but it went well w/ no issues (other than my labile BP but I have that anyway). My signatu...

Re : Lovenox???
I have FVL also (one copy of the gene) and was on Lovenox during my 2nd pregnancy starting at 6 wks. I took a low preventative dose once daily. I never went on to develop PIH, PE or HELLP and had no major issues. good luck!

Re : New to Forum, Need advice on Feelings
<t>I have always had some degree of anxiety but it went up a few notches after my experience. I did see my doctor about getting meds back in March and though my experience may be not be typical, I wish I could undo that day and never have taken anything. I was given Lexapro (an ssri) and Ativan (a b...

Re : To screen or not to screen...
<t>My Peri had recommended this test for the purpose of screening for PE but I did not get it. I knew I'd freak out waaaay too much if I got a positive result. I think the risk of miscarriage from the amnio is 1/200 and in my case the risk of a baby w/ Downs was 1/400 so I did not want to risk an am...

Re : Side effects from Mirena-thinking about removal
Thanks everyone. I made my apt for removal which unfortunately isn't for a few weeks. Last time I got it check they couldn't find the string so I can only imagine what they have to do to me to get this thing out!

Re : Side effects from Mirena-thinking about removal
<t>Thanks so much Heather! That helps me A LOT!!<br/> <br/> So do you feel like your anxiety has improved after getting it removed? <br/> <br/> I'm not expecting rainbows and unicorns either ;) I'm simply not wired that way (unfortunatley!) Since anxiety is already something that I struggle with I s...

Side effects from Mirena-thinking about removal
<t>Hi Ladies! I was wondering if anyone who has had Mirena experienced increased anxiety/mood swings/depression?<br/> <br/> According to my Obgyn there isn't enough progesterone to even enter the blood stream but I'm not sure if I'm buying that based on some things I've read online.<br/> <br/> For t...

Re : Lovenox question
<t>I had that happen a few times while on Lovenox. I would get a big hard lump that was very painful especially when I did them in the thigh for some reason. My whole thigh would hurt afterwards for days. The bruise showed up a day or two later. It took a week or so for the hard lump to go down and ...

Re : does class matter?
I got much worse after delivery too. The day after is when I had class 1, (platelets at 30,0000). Liver enzymes got much worse too 800+. I had an abruption before delivery and I remember reading that can cause/worsen HELLP. Not sure if there is any truth to that or not...

Re : Aren't there any uneventful second pregnancies!?
I'm one of those w/ an uneventful 2nd preg. My first preg I had severe PE, severe HELLP and abruption @ 34 wks. Second preg had scheduled c section @ 39 weeks w/ zero signs of PE the whole pg. It does happen! good luck!
