Re : amnio at 36 wks?

<t>If this helps any, I delivered my son at 35 weeks due to severe preeclampsia with no steroids on board, and he was perfect. He was in the regular nursery, while I was in the ICU. I would imagine that every baby is different, and your little ones lungs may be mature, and they may not be. I'm sure ...

Niki,
I am so sorry. I do not know any other words to say. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers, as well as precious little Angel Myles.

Very Sad News

I'm not sure what her screename was, but I just received an email from Niki Anderson's carepage. She communicated on the forums, and just wanted all to know that her little boy passed away this morning. He was born weighing 13 ounces.
Please pray for Niki and her husband Josh.

Re : Am I overreacting?

<t>Hi Jason,<br/> I'm not a dad, but if I were in your shoes, I would place a call to her Doc ASAP! Tell them the symptoms, and park yourself at the hospital if you need to. The vomiting as well as the borderline BP has me concerned, as well as the headache.<br/> My preeclampsia started the same way...

Re : BP meds and how long before they work??

Procardia I think can take up to 6 hours to start working (depending on the type) are you taking regular or XL? Usually lasts for up to 24 hours, but since you just swiched, I would give the drug a little time to work especially just coming off the other.
Hope this helps.

Re : one more question??

<t>Funny, I was just in L&D for premature labor at 30 weeks. They gave me three doses of terbultaline to try and stop the contractions, with no luck. They then gave me procardia XL. It seems to have done the trick. It is used during pregnancy safely from what I hear. It is a BP med, CA blocker, ...

Re : Questions

<t>In my case, I did not end up with HELPP, just severe preeclampsia. I was in the ICU intubated for pulmonary edema and congestive heart failure, most likely I belive due to the preeclampsia. I'm pretty sure of this because I have since gotten my records and all of my liver enzymes were in normal r...
