Re: 24 hr urine question

I certainly dont think that would be an accurate 24 hour measurement. If you water hasnt broken, then most likely it was pee, right? I would ask to do a repeat test soon. And since they are so much fun
to do, why not ;)

Newborn Screening CAH

This site has been such a wealth of information and support I thought it may be a good place to ask. My daughter was born at 37 weeks about 2 1/2 months ago. I just got a phone call from the doctor to say that she has elevated CAH levels. This is one of the screenings they do with the heel prick a b...

Re: Blood pressure question.

I don't know about Mercury ...lol... but weather does impact BP. When we have thunder storms my BP goes up quite significantly. A bit weird but I am pretty sure it has to do with changing pressures (barometric). The moon also impacts hormones and therefore BP. Just food for thought.....

Re: When to stop LDA--Caryn? Maybe you'd know this one.

My mfm said to stop LDA at 36 weeks, even though he didn't think I was going to make it much past that. I think that is just his rule, he said it really doesn't have much impact on delivery/c-section.

Re: Something more then PE :(

I am sorry to hear how things are going. It is so difficult when you just don't know what is going on. Do you know what any of the tests are that the doctor has done? As far as the protein goes, I had protein in my urine from the beginning of my pregnancy (I had a baseline 24 hour urine at 14 weeks)...

Re: Sleepy and worried/Time is so close....

I took two homeopathic sleep things when I couldn't sleep. My midwife recommended them, so they are safe for the baby and unlike benedryl they are not habit forming Don't take benedryl for more than a few days because you can become dependent on it (that info came from my mfm). The name of the sleep...

Re: BP question, please help!

Lack of sleep always makes my BP go up. I would wait and see how it is after a better night sleep. From what I remember from my last pregnancy (in England) was that the NHS has a set guideline on how to deal with increased BP and/ or protein. The hospital/midwives I had at first decided to ignore th...

Why such high BP post partum?

I just had a beautuful baby girl (#4) at 37 +4. She is perfect and the delivery went wonderfully, but now like my last pregnancy my BPs have shot up. I know I still need to be on the look out for pre-e stuff ( I technically had pre-e durring my pregnancy but the protein was there before I was pregna...

Re: Roll Call: How's everybody doing?

How far along are you? I am 37+3 weeks What's your history with Pre-e and/or HELLP? I had PIH with my first three pregnancies, no pre-e. I had PROM at 36 weeks with the first, 37 weeks with the second and delivered at 39 weeks with the third, all spontaneous. I was on Labetolol for 4 months postpart...
