Bet this doesn't happen every day

I go back in to L&D with increased visual disturbances and a worsening headache. I had been told there was some sort of growth on my brain from the CT scan but it wasn't until today that I was told it is actually a meningioma (sp?) about 3cm at the top of my brain with backed up spinal fluid around ...

Re: IF 24 hour urine comes back "bad"...

Maybe ask about steroid shots to mature the baby's lungs just in case? I had my first around at around 25 weeks. I also had a second round at about 32 weeks.

Re: Post traumatic stress disorder.

I totally understand where you are coming from. I know I don't even really allow myself to imagine holding this baby, or what he will look like because I am just so scared of something happening. I assume that can be normal for some of us. For what it's worth, I can also understand your fears about ...

Re: IF 24 hour urine comes back "bad"...

I am by no means an expert but I've heard that an average is 2 weeks til delivery (and I could totally be wrong). I don't think there is a hard and fast rule though. For the record, if it makes you feel any better, I have had virtually all the symptoms since I was around where you are now and I am n...

Re: Newer update

Yes, being seen on base. Judging by your user name, you are probably familiar with the large base I am talking about. We only moved here in August so i am not sure really where the best place to go would be. We have family up north so that would be feasible for us but I am not sure which one to be h...

Newer update

Sorry for constantly posting here but I've had something new and troubling happen. Little history. Of my 5 live births, with 4 of them I've had preeclampsia. I had eclampsia with my first (seizure). So far this pregnancy baby has been diagnosed IUGR (at 25 weeks), I've had very high BPs that are now...

When will it end (another update)

Good news is I am now 34 weeks. We have two rounds of steroids under our belts and baby seems to be doing okay, kinda... Bad news. Baby's growth took another nosedive. He is down from the 15th percentile to the 7th. I was in the hospital from the first to the 12th and was let go because my BP was be...

Re: Chronic Hypertension

I wasn't chronic as far as I know but I kept on being treated like I was. I finally asked flat out because I've never been told I was chronic, *I* never saw more than one or two high BPs at clinic visits before my pregnancy that were high but they always retook them and we got better numbers. So app...

Re: Update

Im pretty sure it is a teaching hospital. I don't remember specifically being told so but it's a military hospital and I think that is their default setting. I keep running into the "aren't these beautiful ( laying down) BP"people. I think they are trending upwards again so in the morning I need to ...

Update

I am only now able to post because I was given a pass from the hospital since I've been told I need to stay until our little one is born. I believe I was having a mild reaction to the labetolol even though I was only on a very small dose 100mgs/day (dose was split in two and taken 12 hours apart). I...
