Re : Grunting a lot

Dennis was born at 35 weeks and he grunted ALL the time. My husband kept saying "is something wrong with him?". I think it started to slow down when he was about a month or so old. He now only does it when he is going to the bathroom.

Re : Flattened head

<t>Thanks Bethany for sharing your experience. He sees the ped tomorrow so I am hoping that she will give us good information or refer us to a NS or PT before his next geneticist appointment at 6 months. I agree I do not want to wait that long. I would say his ear displacement is pretty severe. I fo...

Thank you for the suggestions. He sees the pedi this week for his 4 month check up. I'll let you know what she says.

Flattened head

<t>Hey everyone. I have never posted under this section of the website. I recognize some of you from the ask the experienced section. My baby was born 5 weeks early via c-section due to preeclampsia. He was 4 lb 1 oz and spent 1 week in the NICU. He is doing well, and is up to over 13 lbs now at 4 m...

Re : Echocardiogram results

<t>Thanks again Audrey! I am a pretty big girl (5'9, right now about 185 lbs---was up to 220 lbs during end of pregnancy). Hopefully those numbers are not too off for my size. The tech did say to me that my left ventricle was shaped a little different (he said I could have been born with it that way...

Re : Echocardiogram results

<t>Audrey- It did seem like the tech was getting frustrated with something. He was trying to get a measurement and seemed like he kept redoing it. I think even at one point he said to himself "let me do this" and then he got what he needed and went on to the next thing. I find the abbreviations with...

Re : Echocardiogram results

<t>Audrey- Do you know what abbrevations the septal and posterior wall measurements would be under? Also, is there a measurement that would say how dilated the left ventricle is so I can see how much bigger than normal it is (if yes, what abbreviation would that be under? my echo summary just has a ...

Re : Echocardiogram results

<t>Audrey- thank you so much for your reply. I wondered if being post partum could affect echocardiogram or EKG results. I did find online that the chambers of the heart do enlarge in pregnancy. I spoke to the doctor and I guess the left ventricle is only mildly enlarged. He didn't seem to take into...

Re : Echocardiogram results

Amanda- You didn't freak me out anymore than I already was. I know what you mean about the internet. I know I should just stay away but it is hard and it always seems that you tend to focus on the really bad stuff.

Re : Echocardiogram results

I might call him tomorrow. He was out of town and today is his first day back in the office. He probably won't get to review the echo until later in the day. If I don't hear from him today I will probably call tomorrow.
