Re : How long is a BPP and Weight Estimate?

Usually that sort of ultrasound takes 20 minutes to half an hour. If they just do the BPP it can be 10 to 15 minutes, but the weight estimate makes it take a little longer because they have to do all the measurements.

Re : Rate of PIH after Pre-E?

I had PIH in this past pregnancy after having PE in my prior pregnancy. Anecdotal, but that's my experience.

Re : How many of you saw spots?

I saw floaters and sparkles when my BP was high. Because I never spilled protein (this time around), my doctor decided it wasn't significant. But you should report your symptoms to your doctor and let them make the determination.

Re : Baby Grant has arrived

<t>Thanks everyone. I guess it was gas, as it seems to have resolved itself. I'm home from the hospital. Grant is doing well---though he's got some jaundice issues that will hopefully resolve soon---the kids have adjusted well to having their new brother home.<br/> Thank you for all the support.<br/...

Re : pain control without an epidural

<t>My SIL had Demerol at the tail end of her labor to "take the edge off." She said that it worked okay, the only downside being that it suppresses your breathing reflex, so sometimes (as odd as it might sound) you have to be reminded to breathe.<br/> I hope you find something that works.<br/> Andre...

Re : My son is here... I'm still in the hospital

<t>Congratulations Heather!! Griffin is so cute--and so big! Congratulations on a successful VBAC. I'm sorry that you're back in the hospital, but I am glad that you took your symptoms seriously and got checked out. It's too bad they won't let Griffin room in with you. Hopefully, you can get back to...

Which arm should BP be taken on?

<t>Perhaps a silly question, but I'm finding that my BP varies by as much as 10 points depending on which arm I'm taking it on. Just took it on my left arm (I'm right handed if it matters), and it was 154/82. Then took it on my right arm and it was 164/90.<br/> <br/> At the hospital and the doctors ...

Re : My Baby

Korie,
I'm so sorry that they had to transfer your daughter! That's so disappointing.
You and your little one are in my thoughts and prayers.
