Re: MFM vs OB? Opinions pls

Thanks for your responses guys. :D In my first pregnancy, my OB did not refer my care to a MFM. In fact, he didn't even realize what was going on until I went into pre term labor and went to L&D and they realized my BP was high (this was at 29 weeks.) *I* knew my BP was NOT normal at 17 weeks when i...

MFM vs OB? Opinions pls

I am finally ready. I am having my IUD out on 3/13, which gives me a little less than a month to complete my research and put together my plan. I am wondering what the benefits may be to see a MFM instead of an OBGYN to follow me during my pregnancy. I do not believe a MFM will follow me any closer ...

Re : Slightly elevated RBC

Thanks, Caryn! I'm not overly concerned about it, because if it were anything to worry about, I'm sure my doc would have called right away. I'm just curious. When he emails me back, I'll be sure to post his answer. :-)

Slightly elevated RBC

<t>Anyone know what a slightly elevated red blood count (discovered in a CBC test) could be caused by? And SLIGHTLY is the key word here - It's only elevated by .06, but it was still enough to receive an "abnormal" flag by the lab. I have a call out to my doc asking the same question, but you know m...

Re : Now what??

<t>Sush, thanks for sharing your story. <br/> <br/> As it turns out, it was sheer luck of the draw that the hospital I delivered at had a three level NICU, and is the best equipped in the STATE to deal with premature babies. So we will definitely be going to that hospital again if we ever do have an...

Now what??

<t>Even though some of my lab work isn't back yet, I've already made my choice. I want another baby. <br/> <br/> So I talked to DH. I told him I wanted another baby. <br/> <br/> He doesn't. For many reasons...He feels satisfied with just Gia, he's worried about the economy and how he's going to prov...

Re : Those of you that TTC...

Sheri-ct...I sympathize with you. I too struggled with infertility (over two years) before getting pregnant with my first on a natural cycle (we were amazed) and then having my pregnancy robbed from me at 33 weeks.

Thanks for your responses everybody.

Those of you that TTC...

<t>I'm sure there are some of you that got "oopsie" pregnant, and some of you that made the choice to try after PE...<br/> <br/> My question to you is specifically for the people that made the choice to try again and are now pregnant. <br/> <br/> What made you decide to try again? My husband and I a...
