Re : speech delays

<t>Celticepona,<br/> Did they ever give you a reason for the speech delays and sensory issues (such as a specific diagnosis?) I ask this because several people (including the speech/OT therapists, etc.) are hinting that he may be "on the Spectrum". He sees a child psychiatrist on the 20th of this mo...

Re : speech delays

<t>My mom spoke with a friend of hers (who happens to be a child psychologist) about our son. This friend asked her a lot of questions regarding his behavior, his speech, etc. and she stated that he did not seem to have autism at all, and that he has classic symptoms of oxygen deprivation at birth (...

speech delays

<t>Hi!<br/> My 29 mo. old son was evaluated about 5 months ago for speech delay at the recommendation of our pediatrician. At the eval, they placed him at a 9-12 mo. old level for his speech ability, and definitely recommended that he continue speech therapy and have an OT eval for sensory issues. O...

Re : Vaginal delivery.

<t>Hi!<br/> Another reason why some premature babies have to be born by c-section is because they are in breech position. Many babies tend to be breech early on in pregnancy or laying sideways, and as pregnancy progresses they turn head down in preparation for delivery. <br/> If possible, they try t...

Re : Anterior Placenta....

<t>I had an anterior placenta with both of my boys, but never had any trouble feeling them kick -- first felt movement at 19 weeks with my first, at 14 weeks with my second. I was actually kinda glad I had an anterior placenta because with the way they were kicking me, I don't know how I would've ma...

Re : Aren't there any uneventful second pregnancies!?

I started with elevated pressures at 23 weeks with my first pregnancy and ended up on bedrest at 30 weeks, induced at 36-37 weeks with severe PE.
This pregnancy --- just hit 35 weeks today, and it has been TOTALLY uneventful!!! It is possible!!
