Lisa,
I'm in Nashville! Your post was from last night - are you still here? I'd love to talk to you. Would you send me an email?? Bmarielee@aol.com.

Re: I am new and have some questions :)

Lisa, thank you so much for checking in! I've been thinking about you since I read your post. Forgive me, but I'm going to be honest and say that I don't like that they didn't do bloodwork. HELLP is a strange, strange condition that presents in lots of odd ways and doesn't easily fit into a neat lit...

Re: I am new and have some questions :)

Lisa, I'm so sorry you're dealing with all this! From another HELLP Syndrome survivor, what you describe are really familiar and scary symptoms! Unfortunately, they could mean that something really wrong is going on inside your body. None of us want to scare you, but when you're talking about possib...

Re: Looking for early preeclampsia survivor

Hey there. . . I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter and your own pre-e experience. The milestones and annviersaries are hard, I know - especially those in the beginning. To answer your post - I was just over 19 weeks pregnant with twins - a boy and a girl - when I developed HELLP Syndrome. Like ...

Re: So many unanswered questions

I'm so sorry for your loss. My husband and I lost twins in November 2008 due to HELLP Syndrome -- I was diagnosed with HELLP as a result of a urine dipstick test, which caused my OB to run bloodwork. I never had high blood pressure at all until I was hospitalized. Definitely not the normal progressi...

Re : Clotting disorder ?

<t>Yes, that was me exactly. See my sig . . . Although other things tested positive too, LA was the big concern. After -negative. My MFM tok a different approach than most and opined that all this simply showed that, whether I'm a clotter on normal days, I do need to be anti coagulated during pregna...

Re : I'm Afraid to See His Face

<t>I am so, so sorry for your loss, and I agree with everyone above. We also choose to not see our babies when they were born - everyone at the hospital, including our families, tried to talk us in to it, but it was best for ust at the time and I am still at peace with that decision now. <br/> <br/>...

Re : Lovenox bruising

<t>Okay, total confession here :) I think I might be the *only* person to not have the "how do I make it bruise less?" thoughts. I totally wore the bruises as a badge -- evidence of what I was going through to give our baby (and me) the best chance possible! I'd look down at my bruised belly and thi...

Re : The yin-yang factor

<t>Very cool and head-exploding, indeed.<br/> <br/> As a mother who lost two children to preeclampsia, and who now has a living child, I was particularly drawn to the statement:<br/> "Cells of one child, circulating in the mother’s blood, might become a lifelong part of younger sibl...

Re : Eleni and Dr. Easterling quoted in Duggar article!

I saw this last night and was so excited - great job, Eleni and Dr. Easterling! How wonderful to get some good info out about pre-e, and also the link to the Foundation!
