I don't think there is such a thing as overly concerned with your background!
I had severe PE with both pregnancies and always had perfect labs. With my first, my BP was 200/110 and I was spilling 6g of protein, but nothing was amiss on the bloodwork.

Re: Who has taken LDA and what was the result?
It didn't seem to help me, but it didn't hurt either!

Re: BP meds and Bedrest.....Still pre-e?
No, but they did (hypothetically) prolong the need to deliver.

Re: when did you stop LDA?
I took it up until the day of delivery. I was on hospital bedrest, so we knew that I could deliver any day, but I was advised to keep taking it. I had a c-section with no problems. I would have been livid if I had to have general anesthesia for a non-emergency c-section.

Re: At what point did you receive Magnesium?
I was on a lower dose of it for a week, then off it when I was discharged, and then on it for another week, then full dose when I delivered and for 24 hours after that. I had severe headaches and visual disturbances, and BPs of 160s/90s, up to 190s/110s when I finally delivered, on meds and hospital...

Re: 24 1/2 Weeks - On Bed Rest
With my second pregnancy, I was watched very closely because I had severe pre-e in my first pregnancy and delivered at 32 weeks. My blood pressure is low normal usually, and in my second trimester, it was averaging 90/50. It started going up at around 28 weeks, and I had a severe headache and visual...

Re: Common experience?
I always had normal labs except for mild protein with my second, and significant protein with my first. But my BPs were severely high. I have never understood why some care providers dismiss severe PIH so quickly, when elevated pressures can be so damaging to the baby and wonky labs are more concern...

Did you have a flu shot while pregnant?
I'm not looking for a debate here; I'm just curious to see if you had a flu shot during your PE and/or PE-free pregnancies.
I don't even remember if I got one while pregnant either time. I don't think I did, but I honestly can't recall!

Re : anyone with no underlying disorders?
Yup, no underlying disorders and no chronic hypertension here, and severe pre-e twice. I had the tests for the slew of autoimmune and clotting disorders and everything was negative.
