Re: Lost our baby to HELLP syndrome...FB is killing me!

I am so sorry you are dealing with this. While our 26weeker was in critical condition in the NICU, we had a hard time with Facebook. Some of our family who had received pics from us via email ended up posting the pics on FB with the kindest, proudest intentions, but it was devastating for us. We had...

Re : Ruling out Pheochromocytoma

<t>Hey Chelsea,<br/> The surgery is a little intense. I don't want to scare you. I know you are going through a lot with a little peanut in the nicu. But it is a little risky and it is very important to find the right surgeon. Definitely find out how many he has performed. I made it through just fin...

Re : Ruling out Pheochromocytoma

<r>Oh Chelsea. I just read your other posts about your 26weeker in the NICU. My heart goes out to you both. She sounds like a fighter. My guy also had a close call with NEC. I know what you are going through and I am so sorry this terrible disease has put you in this situation. <br/> <br/> I know th...

Re : Ruling out Pheochromocytoma

<t>Hi Chelsea,<br/> <br/> I am glad your doctor is ruling out the pheo. I had a pheo throughout my pregnancy, but we did not find out about it until it was too late and my liver shut down and baby was delivered at 26weeks(He is almost 2 now and totally healthy) due to HELLP. Found in when we did MRI...

Re : New and thinking about trying again

<t>Welcome Angel. I am so glad that you and your son are ok. You have come to the right place for support and info on PE. I had my son at 26weeks due to PE and HELLP 14 months ago. We also spent 3 months in the NICU and are fine now too (thank God). My husband and I are just starting to get serious ...

Re : Pre-C and Pituitary Gland?

<t>I had an adrenal tumor that they think was defineatly related to HELLp and PE. I also had a thyroid nodule- not sure if it was related and now they suspect a pituitary function problem. I have had a hard time finding research linking the thyroid and pituitary to hellp and pe, but the adrenal tumo...

Re : did you have a hybrid?

<t>We felt the same way when Isaac was at that stage. It gets even trickier when they can almost sit independently. They get so frustrated.<br/> <br/> For the stage you are at, we let our son play in a jumperoo when he was about that corrected age. His feet didn't reach the floor, so we put a big pi...

Re : After HELLP - elevated alk pho.

Hi Brandy,

I haven't heard of that particular enzyme remaining elevated. I hope some of the other members chime in soon with their experiences. Welcome to the forum! Lots of good info here.

Preemie is so sick:(

<t>My little guy is having a rough winter so far. We are currently battling 2 viral infections (URI and HFMV), 1 bacterial(ear infection) and 1 fungal(Candida rash) all at the same time. He seems to be doing well for it all, but it sure is taking a toll on us. He has no diagnosed long term effects o...

Re : 28 weeker breastfeeding questions

<t>Hi there,<br/> <br/> Congrats on your little girl. I only had to dump on one type of bp med called dibenzyline. I bfed on atenolol, labetolol, meythyldopa, and nifetipine. I have been bfing/pumping for over a year now for my 26weeker. We incorporated formula just in the last few months with no pr...
