Re: No meds

I went through both my first 2 pregnancies unmedicated... the only reason I was on BP meds during the 3rd is that I was on them outside of pregnancy and ran 150/96 w/o them in the first trimester (my OB and GP took me off my BP meds when I became pregnant because they didn't deem them pregnancy safe...

Re: Chronics, do you have call in #'s or instructions

I don't know if it is just because of my history (wasn't chronic until after having PIH/PE 2 times), but my OB and MFM wouldn't increase my meds during pregnancy. As soon as my BPs started to rise they started testing for PE

Re: What gestation of birth requires no NICU time?

37 weeks is usually the goal for that, though very very often 35 and beyond is fine.

With #2 I was basically told I was "in the clear" when I hit 36 weeks, but they still would have done an amnio to check the lungs prior to induction.

Re: Wedding ring doesn't fit today..

I had to have mine cut off during my first pregnancy, I was around 30 weeks as well... I made it to 37 weeks before being DXed and it was a relatively mild case (made 38 weeks for delivery).

Re: How are you relieving your anxiety about being pregnant

It took me a while to come to terms with what might happen (and later what was happening)... but finally I adopted the mantra of "It is what it is" and would just repeat that to myself anytime I started stressing over what was, what it meant, and what could be... Also lots and lots of deep breaths, ...

Thinking about the future...

So I am now 3 for 3 on PIH/PE. I have been incredibly lucky that it has been relatively mild (though #2 was diagnostically severe, I still made term). We thought 3 was going to be it for us, but both DH and I seem open to the possibility of #4 in the future. I know that after having PE 3 times, I am...

Re: Has anyone on here delivered c-sec while on LDA?

My MFM didn't want me to deliver on LDA, so she told me stop between 32 and 35 weeks.
