anyone with no underlying disorders?

<t>Has anyone here had PE in multiple pregnancies with no underlying disorders, not even high blood pressure?<br/> <br/> I had PE in both pregnancies, the second time it came earlier and with HELLP. It's my understanding that it's not the "norm" to get it worse the second time around. I had some tes...

Re : Mentally replaying birth?

<t>I just read your post from my topic, but I'll just reply here. You are not alone! And it IS getting better for me. I still replay the birth in my head often, but not every day. And I'm not obsessively looking up information. I had to force myself to take a break. But I still feel like I don't hav...

Re : Just diagnosed with preeclampsia, UPDATE!!!

<t>I would call and ask about your labs. And make sure they tell you specific numbers and not just "normal" or "elevated." In my opinion, the more 24 hr urine tests the better! It really can progress very quickly. With my second pregnancy, it went from ok to bad in literally a day. And I had zero sw...

abdominal pain

<t>For the past five weeks since my c-section, I have been having off and on pain in my left side. It is a stabbing pain about halfway between my belly button and my left side. Sometimes it spreads to my side and back. Any ideas on what this might be? C-section recovery or some sort of post PE/HELLP...

Re : does anyone else feel like this?

Thanks everyone for the replies! All my friends and family have had normal, boring pregnancies, so it's nice to hear from people who have been through the same thing. :)

Re : Ladies who have suffered with PE & HELLP...

<r>I really can't say as far as getting HELLP a second time, since I only got it in my second pregnancy. But I did have PE twice. I also have no underlying disorders. I know if you have HELLP you have a high change of getting PE again. This link might help: <br/> <br/> <URL url="http://www.preeclamp...

Re : platelets question

I'm relieved to hear that everything returns to normal! It's amazing HELLP doesn't really cause permanent damage to most women. I've been feeling so fatigued, so I'm thinking that I'm still not quite back to normal. Or it could just be normal new mom fatigue or a combination of both.

platelets question

<t>The normal range for blood platelets is 150-450 (thousand). I was discharged from the hospital when my platelet count was 97 (after several rounds of steriods). The doctor said it was close enough. So do platelets continue to increase on their own after HELLP? If so, how long does it usually take...

does anyone else feel like this?

<t>It's been almost 5 weeks since the birth of my son. We do not plan on having any more kids. So you'd think that I could put all of this behind me, and never have to think about PE or HELLP again. But instead, I am obsessed with searching the internet to find out as much information as I can. And ...
