Re: Still grieving, yet ready to start a family...
I am so sorry for your loss. Our stories are very similar except that I had more of HELLP (bad bloodwork) more than the high blood pressure when I was diagnosed and had to deliver our daughter at 23wks+2d. I wish there were more answers, but sadly, no. A subsequent pregnancy after the death of your ...

Labile pressures at 34+2...now what?
It's been awhile since I've posted here so to quickly recap, I developed HELLP at 23 weeks with DD in my first pregnancy. (I may or may not have had pre-e, they never did a 24 hr urine before my labs went bad, I had had swelling and urq pain for weeks prior, but my bp stayed good except for maybe 2 ...

Re: aspirin side effects on babies
I was on lovenox and aspirin for both my boys (and current pregnancy), both boys (4 and 2.5 now) are fine. I was actually taking them while breastfeeding both boys still too so they were exposed to it in utero and then when they were older through my milk. (Although granted by the time I was pregnan...

Re: When to try again?
I am kinda surprised they are having you wait so long after a normal c-section. With DD, I had a classic c-section (vertical) at 23 weeks, they wanted me to wait 6 months to year because that type of incision is riskier than typical low transverse c-sections. after ds1 (normal c-section at 36 wks), ...

Re: Bad news very upset
I had notching in my second pregnancy (healthy 7.4 lb 36 wker- no pre-e) after a severe early onset pregnancy. It is scary but not necessarily mean anything. It has come up here a lot. 15 wks is probably too early for a reliable scan for that anyway.

Re: Pregnancy outcomes after severe, early-onset pre-e?
I had HELLP at 23+2 with our daughter. Tested negative for blood clotting disorders but my MFM felt it was worth the risk to put me on blood thinners. (A different mfm said no way to that idea...some will and some won't.) DS1 was born at 36 wks and DS2 37 wks, no HELLP or official pre-e either time,...

DS1 was born at 36+1 day after an amnio and spent no time in the NICU at all.

Re: We lost our baby to severe pre-eclampsia and HELLP
I have since gone on to have two healthy pregnancies- a 36 weeker and 37 weeker with no pre-e or HELLP. (I was on low dose aspirin, lovenox, and monitored very closely by my OB and MFM.) Subsequent pregnancies are terrifying but in many cases uneventful. You definitely need a great team of doctors ...

Re: We lost our baby to severe pre-eclampsia and HELLP
I am so sorry for your loss. My story is very similar (problems started with genetic testing being red-flagged, then she was smaller than normal, then the pain and HELLP syndrome soon after...we delivered by emergency c-section at 23+2...my pain went undiagnosed for a couple weeks since my bp was no...

Re: Past Pre-E and HELLP delivery. New BP issues, please adv
If by "restriction of blood flow to the placenta" they mean "notching" (do a search on it, it has come up a lot), don't be too worried. (Notching is when they do blood flow studies/doppler studies, and determine that some of the blood flow is slightly restricted, sometimes, I think of it like a wate...
