Re: When would OBs want to start BP meds?

Thank you so much, Alexis. That is such helpful information. I'm happy to say that two OBs today told me they wouldn't medicate the pressure I have, and are fully aware of my desire to continue care with my MW. But it's nice to hear those ranges.

I'll share this with my husband so we can be on the same page when we go in. Raposa, thank you as well. I'm so glad the meds are working ...

Re: Should I be relieved or concerned??

Wow, what a tricky situation. I guess I'm wondering, if you know the symptoms and can monitor regularly enough for all of them for YOU to feel comfortable, could his stance be ok? Can you keep asking the questions to make sure every base is covered, while being thankful you aren't being prematurely ...

I've had several readings over the course of yesterday of about 118/90. During my last pregnancy we and our MW were watching my pressure rise after 30 weeks, and s...

Oh Yikes, 12 Weeks and BP is high

Hi everyone, I'm kinda freaking out here. Had 3 BP readings yesterday (acupuncturist, MW's cuff and home BP cuff), all around 118/90. My diastolic number didn't hit 90 until 32-34 weeks last time, a couple of weeks before protein showed in my urine. Urine came back clear though. Does anyone have exp...

Re: Baby Due in March 2013

Oh yay, very much needing this right now, thank you for starting this thread (gr that i can't see other posts while i'm posting). I'm due March 17th with #2. I was happily planning a home birth with #1 and my BP started to rise slowly at 30 weeks. Protein showed up at 36+5 and ended up with an induc...

Re: I'd love help preparing for an appointment - MFM

thanks, angieb :). i'm going in today, focusing on her recommendations for pre-natal care for a future pregnancy, and what testing she recommends or is willing to do. i'm a little nervous about going in with demands for testing, but i hope she doesn't brush the idea off either. i wonder if she'd be ...
