Re: Recommendation for Ob/Gyn and MFM doctor

I did see a nephrologist with the last pregnancy and he placed me on medicine to control my bp, but that was about all. He also gave me medication for my migraines - I am a migraine sufferer. When I was admitted to the hospital, he stopped by to consult with my OB. I actually have not research kidne...

Re: Kind of in the two week wait...

I am also waiting. After my last baby, I decided not to have any periods, so I started taking Depro. Indeed, no periods - I was happy. I stopped taking them in May and went on the pill, hoping to regulate my cycles. I was the pill for about 3-4 mos. My cycle after the pill has been very irregular, i...

Re: Recommendation for Ob/Gyn and MFM doctor

Thank you and I forgot to not use the actual hospital name...sorry about that. I have not been tested for any underlying disorders, but I do have three kidneys that seem to be under alot of stress when I am pregnant, which may be what cause the PE. There was some talk about removing one of them, sin...

Recommendation for Ob/Gyn and MFM doctor

Good Morning- I am new to the Indianapolis area (Fishers) and my husband and I are planning for our last (third) child. My first two were born at 28 weeks due to PE/placenta abruption. There are two hospitals that I am considering. Can anyone help shed some light on the quality of care and physician...

Re: two year theory

I had my second child seven yrs later and still had PE. I do not believe the two year theory. I do believe that every pregnancy is different and that your chances of getting PE for subsequent pregnancies does not necessarily decline, in fact, it still places you at high risk. But, I am just one stor...

Re: baby born at 32 weeks due to PIH/pre-eclampsia

First, congrats!!! My daughter was born at 27.5 weeks and was 1 lb 7 oz. She stayed in the NICU for 79 days. She was on the vent and had an umbilical line, which made it impossible for me to hold her. However, the nurse gave me a great Christmas present and let me hold her for a few minutes (kangaro...

Re: Huge Set Back with My Baby-UPDATE

I thought I had posted an update, but it appears that it did not go through. My daughter (27 weeker, 1 lb 7 oz) is has been home since March 5th. We were so excited when she begun to eat all her feedings by bottle. I knew then that the count down was to begin, since she was also completely off the c...

Re: Huge Set Back with My Baby

Thanks everyone. I have actually gone a whole day without crying. The Dr. said today that the pneumonia is gone and the mass in her neck has regressed substantially. She still has a puffy face due to all of the fluids. She is still on the vent, but only b/c they want to be able to help her move the ...

Huge Set Back with My Baby

Well...my daughter suffered a huge set back this weekend. She is the baby that was born on Dec 16th at 1 lb 7 oz due to PE/placental abruption. I received a call at 2am from her nurse stating that she had apnea spells every 10 mins. Prior to this, she was on room air, breathing like the rest of us, ...
