Re : HELLP after delivery....

<t>My platelets had been falling in the week before, but were "technically" still considered normal(above 150). Immediately following my c-section, or concurrently, I was diagnosed with HELLP. Platelets fell to 47. In the 4-5 days following, they slowly went back up. As far as I know, the Dr. did no...

HELLP syndrome forum

Hi all,
Just wondering why the HELLP forum was combined with another. It seemed to get a lot of traffic...Not trying to be nit-picky[:I] but of course I liked it being it's own entity.
Maybe I just need to get used to the new one [:)]
Thank you,

Re : To anyone trying for a VBAC!*updated*

<t>Yikes! That is very interesting. I have been taking EPO since before I became pregnant, and now I am taking a baby aspirin daily (one of the drugs they warn against combining with it). Thanks for the information! I will be asking my Doctor more on Friday - meanwhile I will stop taking it. <br/> <...

Re : question about clinical studies, etc...

<t>Thanks you guys. I have been to that website, Eliz. It seems that indeed, the studies are far away from me. I would have thought Los Angeles would be listed on someof them, but a lot seem to be out of the country. I am happy that there are studies going on, but of course, as you said, Catherine, ...

Re : Packed for hospital!

I don't know if they do it at your hospital, but at mine, if you bring in your baby book, they will stamp it with your baby's footprint when they do it for their records.

question about clinical studies, etc...

<t>So, now that I am pregnant again, and given that Preeclampsia and HELLP are usually confined to such a small time frame, I am actually surprised that there aren't people knocking on my door to enroll me in studies. Am I just full of myself? [:p] <br/> Does anyone else wonder why this prime time i...

Re : severe pain on right side

I agree wholeheartedly with Catherine and Julie. I had the upper abdominal pain before any other symptom. Also, I never had protein in my urine. Get checked out! :) Hopefully it is nothing.
