Re : Extended breastfeeding... and meanies!

<t>Well... there was a family b-day party this past weekend and when I nursed Addi (I was under the impression such things were "normal") right there (now I did cover up... my boobs weren't hanging out or anything, and I was being discreet... at the back of the crowd) I might as well been lynched......

Extended breastfeeding... and meanies!

<t>Okay, so I was one of "those" that wasn't going to nurse a kid that could walk and talk (Addi started walking last month) and that could help themselves to booby juice at any time... but here I am still nursing Addi and not wanting to stop anytime in the near future, mostly because she doesn't wa...

Re : fighting sleep. what to do?

I just stuck to his regular routine... did more activity with him while he was awake and made sure to put him down before he was ex...

Re : Physically how do you feel when BP goes up?

<r>Ooh, kidney problems... that's deinitely a risk factor for PE. The Working Group Report on High Blood Pressure in Pregnancy states, Hypertension occurs in more than half of these pregnancies [these referring to those with moderate to severe renal insufficiency]. therefore it's imperative that you...

Re : When did you start checking your BP daily?

<t>Bonnie,<br/> <br/> Wow! I wonder why your OB said wait until 26 weeks... that could prove to be hairy considering your history. I personally started checking mine quite early, as early as 12 weeks. I wanted so desperately to see the second trimester dip that I watched it like a hawk!<br/> <br/> I...

Re : Prehypertension

<t>Ellen, <br/> <br/> with diastolics in the 50s, I would certainly not think so. I've read that If your blood pressure is between 120/80 mmHg and 139/89 mmHg, then you have prehypertension. This means that you don't have high blood pressure now but are likely to develop it in the future.<br/> <br/>...

Re : am i having an Anxiety attack? Possibly?

<t>Bethany,<br/> <br/> Um, quite frankly, it doesn't matter what's going on... the symptoms you are reporting need to be checked out at L&D (and remember, I'm not a doctor). <br/> <br/> -hot flashes<br/> -feels like someone is taking a jack hammer to the back of my head<br/> -lightheaded<br/> -n...

Re : Mandy- Gal with BP 202/126

<t>Those feelings are normal and oh so common after our terrible experiences. I felt that way with my first, who was taken at 32 weeks. <br/> <br/> Approximately a week after he was born my bp soared and I was admitted to a nearby hosptial -- which also happened to be out of state, and he was in a N...
