Re: Update on the Ducharme family.( PICS!!!)

What a beautiful little girl! Congrats!! I saw where you said that your breast milk had dried up and that the dr. didn't recommend the pills that you take due to your high bp. After my little girl was born--I didn't have milk (except a few drops here and there) and they suggested I take fenugreek (I...

Re: what bp #'s should a person call in on?

I think that the numbers that doctors start to worry are around 140/90, however, if you have lower BP normally, or just feel something isn't right, I'd call. I'm probably driving my OB insane but at this point in time I don't care!!!

Re: fluctuating bp?

I'm not on any sort of medication however, I know a little bit about BP, and perhaps like the previous posted stated, that maybe you're just on too high of a dose of BP medicine? After my peanut was born, I was on meds for about 6 weeks. The last 2, I had a few experiences of low blood pressures. Mu...

Re: Oops one more question! About NEC

I honestly had never even heard of it when my daughter was in the NICU, then I saw where quite a few families here seemed to have lost a baby due to NEC, which in turn freaked me out! I'm just getting to the point where baby could be considered full term, and I'm hoping NICU time isn't necessary, bu...

Re: Birthing plan?

Thanks ladies! I could have done all that research on my own BUT I knew that at least a few people here would have some knowledge on most of these things. Most of the items listed I have no problem with, I may request that my doc does not do an episiotomy, mostly because obviously I'm not the only o...

Oops one more question! About NEC

I've seen a lot of you had lost a child due to NEC. Does this generally affect the earlier/smaller preemies more? Or is it just a luck of the draw to not experience it?

Birthing plan?

So, I was doing a little research the other day concerning Department of Defense policy and procedure for medical care (and even though I didn't find even close to what I was looking for), I stumbled on an interesting posting about a girl who was concerned that because her husband was in the army sh...

Re: question about 36 weekers

Ahh I had no idea about the steroids thing! My daughter was born at 32+1, so I was able to get them with her. I am at 34+2, and never even talked to my dr. about them, which since I have no reason so deliver early, I don't think I would have been a candidate anyhow. I just worry about their little l...

Re: A little upset after this mornings appt

LOL well you're better than I am. I just wanted to make it to 32 weeks because then I was convinced she'd be ok. I am SO much bigger this time. I feel like a cow. I CANNOT wait till the end of this. I am literally miserable at this point in time. I can't even get out of the tub. BUT Ya know what.. t...

Re: hmmm I just don't feel good.

So what I'm wondering...ok at 34 weeks (today!) I feel pretty confident that peanut would be ok if there was an issue. HOWEVER, that being said, I know that a lot of times actual diagnosed pre eclampsia has a time span of like 2 weeks before delivery. Is there any time span that I would have these l...
