Re: labour
Each labor story is so unique to the person... and when to do an epidural can also be a personal choice. Your nurses and medical team during labor will be a great guide of when an epidural is right for you. Is there a birthing class you can take at the hospital? There are also a host of great books ...

Re: BiPolar II preeclampsia at 28 weeks now need advice
Welcome. I don't have experience with the combination of medications- however I do have lots of experience with managing care with multiple doctors. One thing I found quickly helpful was to sign consents with everyone so that my doctor's could speak directly to one another. It can be stressful to be...

Re: partner 27 weeks pregnant and developed preeclampsia
I'm very sorry to hear you and your partner are dealing with pre-eclampsia- an extremely serious condition. It would not be the "bad guy" to limit the neighborhood kids. If it's uncomfortable to set the limit I would tell the neighbors it is doctor's orders. The doctors said, she can not do X,Y,Z so...

Re: counselling?
I'm so very sorry for the loss of your son. Pregnancy after loss is it's own rollercoaster ride of emotions. I found counseling during my pregnancy extremely helpful. Like you I had a lot of anxiety- and a lot of it came from all the uncertainty and of course what had happened to us in our first pre...

Re: I'm back - again!
Congrats!!!!! What exciting news! I'm keeping all crossables crossed for a very healthy and uneventful pregnancy. Here's hoping the numbness is just one of those strange symptoms that doesn't lead anywhere!
Keep posted as you're able!!

Re: swollen
One of the tricky things about Pre-e is that in isolation many of the symptoms can be normal pregnancy symptoms. As non-doc me- your pressures and that the swelling is in your feet (rather than face) is reassuring. However if you have a history of pre-eclampsia or are concerned the best person to do...

Re: Put on bloodpressure meds at 24 weeks
Yeah for 37 weeks!! Congrats mama!!! I'll be thinking peaceful wishes for you as you approach the induction and no labor vibes this weekend!! I always fudged the answer by saying the general season, and then as we got closer the general month. There was always a bump in each of our pregnancies so I ...

Re: Trace of protein at 18 weeks?
Hi there- So glad to hear you were able to hang on until 36 weeks with your daughter. I'm guessing the trace was with the dips they do at the office? While it can be a red flag- It's within the range of normal to have trace- especially given that the dips are notoriously inaccurate. In a subsequent ...
