Re: protein and blood pressures update from this appt below

Congrats on making it into the 30s! Woo Hoo! I'm thankful they are keeping you overnight, but so sorry to hear they are frustrating you as well. Hopefully the MFM you see tomorrow will be on it (he/she better be I know you and hubby will hold their feet to the fire!) and create a solid plan for you ...

Re: What labs to ask Dr for?

Along with our 24hrs they always ran a full "PIH panel" blood test, which included creatine... uric acid and a whole bunch of other stuff. We would do the blood test when we turned in the 24 hr.

Crossin' crossables all your labs come back within normal limits.

Re: protein and blood pressures update from this appt below

Glad your momma is there to help so you can get busy resting- which I know is really hard work. Who ever came up with the term bed rest was clearly never on it because it's anything but restful. :) We had severe polyhydramnois which they think caused PTL to start at 29 weeks.. probably before but th...

Re: Well that was weird

Thank you for the quick reply. That's what I'm crossin' all crossables it is! Though I tell you these (hopefully) insignificant bumps are so frustrating. It was the weirdest thing. I didn't do anything different, didn't feel sick sick other than that yucky feeling you get when you know your bp is a ...

Re: protein and blood pressures update from this appt below

Mine did, but mine also didn't spike as high as 2,000, so I'm not sure if that's a different story. I hope things settle down for you this evening, please though when in doubt, get it checked out. Trust me, having even the slightest regret in a pregnancy is not something you ever ever want to live w...

Re: preeclampsia and how long was yours managed before deliv

We were diagnosed at 29 weeks and made it to 36w6d, when our induction was started, and lil' one arrived the next day- full term! We managed mostly at home until the end.

I'm so very sorry for the loss of your lil' one and wish you a long and uneventful pregnancy for this lil' sibling.

Well that was weird

This past week from Tuesday morning until Friday afternoon my bp would not go below 13x/7x (my usual is 11x/6x) no matter what I did leaving me with a general sense of feeling yuck, a super mild headache and super mild swelling of the feet, which I wouldn't have even noticed if I didn't know to look...

Re: Blood pressure going up at 24 weeks

I'm so sorry things are so frustrating. I have no idea what any of the labs mean, but can totally empathize with the bp reading at it's lowest point when you'd actually like it to spike just so you can go to the person... TOLD YA SO! ;)

Mine was always like that. Protein was high but then everything else they look for was within normal limits... which is good news.

Re: Should I ask to see a Perinatologist?

I would absolutely request seeing an MFM... today. 180/100!? That is scary.

If you do have to go back to L&D, I would also choose a hospital that has MFM on staff and request to be evaluated by them.
