Experimenting with diuretics??

<t>I had to call my doctor today because last night my BP didn't go down after my pills. I know it was only one dose, but the fact that it happened makes me think that it is going to get worse over the weekend. She called the perinatologist to discuss my situation. Being that I am on 2400 labetalol,...

Re : Successful VBAC especially after 2 C-sections???

<t>Thaiba, I can definately relate with the baby being wisked away and how difficult that is. I will never forget the feeling of walking into the NICU, looking at the row of babies and having no idea which baby was mine. I just felt sick about it. So many relatives stopped by with that baby and got ...

Re : anyone had a baby early and what happened?

<t>I am not sure about week 26 and 27, that is sort of the inbetween stage. There is a decent chance at survival at this point, but also a great chance for long term health issues. Hopefully, you can hold off until at least 28 weeks. At that point, there is a 90% survival rate and I know of others w...

<t>I don't know anything about the healing, but I don't know that just being up and moving would prevent you from healing well. <br/> <br/> I am on my 3rd pregnancy and honestly have never even wanted to try a v-bac. I feel like I have enough on my plate and really don't want to add anything else. B...

Re : BP machines

Wrist cuffs are not as accurate so I wouldn't use that. How old is your arm cuff? Has it ever been checked for accuracy? You could always bring it to your next doctor appt and double check it with their reading to see how close it is.

Re : Too much medication....

<t>Patty, Not sure what my protein is. I know it isn't to pre-e level yet, but she didn't tell me if I had any. So it is mainly the hypertension. I am a little surprised I am not on bed rest either. I can't do much with all these pills and I suspect it is partially because since the big increase ove...

Re : New to BP meds - questions

<t>I only know the answers to a couple of your questions, sorry. I know everyone seems to have a different reaction to the meds. For some, it is just what they need to hold them off and it won't even take a very high dose. I would say with you being almost 31 weeks, you are in a good position for th...

Re : Too much medication....

<t>Missgamecock, thank you. Your story makes me feel slightly better that there is hope since my situation sounds very similar. No worries, I would not push to 36 weeks unless I really thought I could do it. At this point, I have let go of my hopes of full term baby and am just hoping for baby who h...

Re : Too much medication....

<t>Patty, How long, after you were on the highest doses, did you make it in your pregnancy? How long were you on hospital bed rest? I am seeing that in my near future. :/ Part of me is glad for it because of getting closely monitored when I need it and another part is worried about all I have going ...

Re : IUGR?

<t>Do you have another ultra sound scheduled? I would assume another significant drop would warrent more monitoring for IUGR. I am not sure if they must be between 5-15th percentile. I am assuming that how far along you are would make a very big difference as well. If you are earlier, they will push...
