Re : Menstruation and BP

Yes, you're BP can fluctuate during your period, particularly at the beginning of menstruation, and tapering back down to normal by the end. How much is it fluctuating? It shouldn't be a significant amount.

Re : Updated-now I need help and advice re: ANA panel

<t>I think the $1,200 included another test, but I'm not sure. <br/> Kerisue the ANA panel looks for Anti-nuclear antibodies which might be present if there is inflammation present, or an autoimmune disease. Some MFM's run this as part of a pre-conception appointment. Otherwise, it can be ordered if...

Re : Arthirits and pre-e.

Have you had an ANA panel done recently, Delissa? Talk to your MFM about it. They need to know if you have RA or even a positive ANA.

Re : Did you have a flu shot while pregnant?

I did. My doctor was pretty adamant that I get one. My husband had to get one before they'd let our daughter leave the nicu, too.

Re : Arthirits and pre-e.

<t>Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune condition and can therefore be an underlying disorder for preeclampsia. Osteoarthritis is not autoimmune, but related to injury and/or age, and would not be an underlying disorder. As far as treatment of RA for successful pregnancy, I think that treatment gen...

<t>And to add to the list of items, I also have "Awareness Ribbon" hair clippies, on no slip clips. They are cute for little girls, but also work nicely for moms. I wear one to pull my bangs out of the way. Two come in a set for $7.00.<br/> <br/> I can also do custom boutique style hair bow with an ...

Re : Updated-now I need help and advice re: ANA panel

<t>The ANA is probably only one or two vials of blood. I just had one done and it was two vials. I think my last bill said $1,200, but my insurance covered it. Some of the more common test are for ANA, and a sedimentation rate or another one looking for inflammation. Sometimes they'll look for Rheum...

Re : by how much?

<t>I wouldn't get too worried about one spike. It's possible with home machines to have wonky readings from time to time. I would write it down to tell your doc about at your next appointment, and keep your eyes peeled for other spikes. It's a high systolic, with an average diastolic...so could just...

Re : 24 hr urine question (kinda urgent and dumb)

<t>Nope. Start time doesn't matter. It's just usually easier for people to remember by starting first thing in the morning, meaning from the time they wake up for the day. So, if you wake up at 8am, you'd pee in the toilet & flush, write down 8am, then start collecting all the urine for the rest...
