Re : CHT and 2nd pregnancy.

<t>If it was hitting 140/90 (or there abouts) before 20 weeks, it's likely considered chronic hypertension unmasked by pregnancy. The PE diagnosis would come with the elevated BP's AND a 300mg or higher 24 hour urine catch. No, if your protein or bp start out above normal, your cutoffs for pe may be...

Re : Anyone find it hard?

<t>Some of us who become of an "advanced age" between pregnancies have more difficulty, but it's because of our age, or because of a health issue that goes along with age. I'm concerned about this as well. I was 28 with my first (and got pregnant on birth control due to food poisoning), but will be ...

Re : Anyone with Sickle cell?

I know we have at least one member who has sickle cell, but I'm not sure that she posts frequently. She did have preeclampsia in her pregnancy. Are you being seen by a high risk doc?

Re : Postpartum Pre E clamp or NOT?

<t>Post partum preeclampsia can occur up to 6 weeks post partum. Blood tests can change in a matter of hours and I see it's been a few days since you were tested. With a headache, and high pressures on HBP meds, as well as swelling, I'd get in for a repeat of blood work. Ask to see the OB or Perinat...

Re : uncontrollable movements

<t>I agree with Jamie. Preemies often have erratic movements as their nervous systems are still developing. I would bring it up with the pedi. You are probably seeing the pedi frequently still. If the pedi doesn't listen you can call the neonatologist at the nicu. This is especially true if your ped...

<r>Hi Brittney,<br/> <br/> Welcome to the Preeclampsia Foundation! I'm sorry you've had the preeclampsia experience, but relieved that things have turned out well. I want to encourage you to fund-raise and raise awareness for preeclampsia. It's the individual volunteer spirit that helps us move our ...

Re : Blood thinner(s).

You are using baby aspirin, which is a thinner, and has shown significant benefit according to a recent study Caryn posted. I was told if we had another I'd be on LDA and lovenox - but that was before all the newest research. I have LA.
