Vent question

<t>My son had a rough day, and they still are weaning his vent. I'm happy but freaked out. I want to cry because I'm worried about him crashing after he gets off. I wouldn't be so worried but 2x today just out of the blue Chase was coasting along laying there sleeping with his heart rate about 150s ...

Re : Need to vent

<t>Today has been a frustrating day. They mentioned yesterday possibly testing him to see if they could pull him off the vent today but the doctor said they wouldn't even consider that until monday or tuesday now. I know not to get excited about things until they happen, but I really was hoping for ...

Re : Need to vent

<t>Thank you girls for responding. I use my drive everyday or shower time to cry. I want to try to be strong for my dh and other kids. The chaplan comes and visits us everyday which is very helpful. My dh is not a religious person even though I am. I told him I don't care what he thinks, our little ...

Need to vent

<t>I'm new to this section. My son was a little over 35 weeks when he was born due to mild PE and prom. I know he's on the larger size, he was 7 lbs 8 oz. but still considered a preemie lol. I am having such anxiety over what happened with him on sunday and have no one to really talk to about it. <b...

Re : Update on baby

<t>Thank you everyone for your prayers. Chase was unchanged yesterday. They tried messing with his vent setting some, but the respiratory therapist(his angel and spokesman) said he didn't like it and just wanted to give him a day where mother nature could try to do her thing. <br/> <br/> I left the ...

Update on baby

<t>Thanks to everyone's help and encouragement from the beginning of my pregnancy with our new son Chase. He was born January 30th weighing <br/> 7 lbs 8 oz and being almost 5 weeks early. My water broke early and thankfully it did. My BP was high and my reflexs in L & D were brisk. I didn't req...

Re : Do amnios hurt?

<t>I had everyone tell me it didn't hurt, and holy crap did it ever. The only reason mine hurt so bad was I had an anterior placenta and the only safe place to stick the needle in was the fundas of my uterus. On top of that, they did it while I was having a contraction. Normally, I guess it's pretty...

Systolic question

I know they are more concerned with the bottom number for BP, but should I call my OB if my systolic is really high? My normal BP is 100-110's over 60's. This weekend my best reading was 137/78, and my morning and evening readings are 150's-170's over 80's.

Thanks

Michelle

Re : Getting totally bummed out.... Long

<t>Sorry you are having such a rough time. I feel your pain with sewer issues. I learned our first house had sewer issues after we moved in and I ended up with raw sewage, tampons, and toilet paper all over the front lawn. I also liked when you flushed the toilet or did laundry and the bath tub woul...

Re : Reflex question

<t>Thanks Kara<br/> <br/> I do have some swelling the past week. Looks like I got collagen injections in my lips, my eyelids are swollen, and some pitting in my legs; but nothing like the elephant looking legs I had at the end with my dd. I guess part of me is scared to call or go in because I just ...
