Re : Still Breastfeeding (tandem nursing)
<t>Nursing through pregnancy did nothing to lessen my chances of pre-e :( Raleigh nursed until I was 27 weeks pregnant with Randall and got put on hospital bedrest. He was 25 months at that time and it was very traumatic for him having to wean so abruptly. He also got VERY attached to his sippy cup ...

Re : a little upset and need some support!
<t>Hello and ((hugs)) I know hospital bedrest can be so hard and frustrating. I spent a month with my last baby and 3 weeks the baby before that. My guess is they are holding off on the steroids because they think you are stable enough at the moment to make it a few more weeks and the steroids are m...

Me too :). I do go to school and have recently been working a temporary job with the census but stay at home is my main occupation. With 5 kids it is almost a necessity.

Re : New here - I think I probably belong
<t>((hugs)) I am sorry you had to find us here but glad you did. In my last couple of pregnancies the doctors did not want to start bp meds until after my bottom number got over 100. I went in on hospital bedrest at 27 weeks with my last pregnancy (though my symptoms such as bp goiong up started a f...

Re : Skip a pregnancy?
I think each pregnancy is different too. I had a severe case with my 1st then not as bad with my second on PIH with my 3rd and then the 2 terrible rounds with pre-e with my 4th and 5th baby.

Re : Expectant dad needs info about preeclampsia
<t>Congrats on your little ones I am glad they are here safely. The NICU can be a real roller coaster so you have to expect one step forward and 2 back some days but it sounds like they are in great shape an open bed and just c-pap and no vent is wonderful. As far as your sister in law some of us do...

Re : diagnosed today....what's next
<t>I am glad you are still hanging in there and that they are doing frequent testing. The hospital is the safest place just in case. I wanted to leave too and the doctors told me it would be AMA because I could seize or stoke out in the parking lot. Plus bedrest can sometimes prolong the pregnancy. ...

Re : diagnosed today....what's next
<t>Hello Amy, Just wanted to say that I understand how hard it is to be on bedrest but I am glad they are monitoring you closely. 34 weeks is a great place to be. My 4th was born at 34 weeks on the nose and he did really well and only had to spend a week in the NICU. Hang in there and keep us posted...
