Re : Outcome when diagnosed before 30 weeks?

With my last I was diagnosed at 27 weeks and put on hospital bed rest and made it to 31 weeks so, I made it almost a month exactly.

Re : Update on us, for anyone who remembers me :)

<t>Congratulations. Sounds like a scary time. I am glad you and baby got through it okay! One bit a advice, next fall see if you can talk them in to giving baby Isabella the RSV shots. My Raleigh was born in February 2006 at 34 weeks and they did not give them to him because of his gestation at birth...

Re : Just diagnosised!

<t>As far as a website with information on preeclampsia this is the best place around :). Sorry you had to find us but glad that you did. As far as answers to your specific situation you should sit down and talk with your doctor about their plans for you care now that things have become complicated....

Re : How many C-SECTIONS have you had?

I have had 4 c-sections. They were pretty complication free but I had one that had to be packed (the second). I meet a lady at the peri's office who had just had her 7th section and I believe Ethel Kennedy had 10+ c-sections.

Re : I'm new---On salt restriction...help!!

Not heard that before, I know salt is an issue for some chronic hypertensives, not sure that it helps with pre-e though. I know even when I was hospitalized with severe pre-e I was on a regular diet not a low sodium one.

Re : high protein, only slightly elevated blood wor

<t>Not sure but my 24hr reading right before I had Randall was 13,000 and my labs were never even slightly elevated to my knowledge. Pre-e is just a weird disease. There really is no rhyme or reason to understanding how it effects all of us differently and symptoms can present differently for everyo...

Re : Pre-e diagnosis and urine question!

<t>I agree the "official" diagnosis is the 2 readings of 140/90 or that could be even lower if you have a low baseline. Anything 30 points above baseline would be diagnostic. I also know that the protein cutoff is over 300.<br/> <br/> Not sure if there is any special way to sit while taking it but t...

Re : I'm just not normal (LOOONG rant/vent)

<t>The 300 isn't that large a dose, I believe I was up to a 1000 or 1200 or something with Raleigh but it does sound like you are not reacting well.I wish I had spoken up more forcefully about it then because like I said in your last post they decided with Randall that to have that severe a reaction...
