Re : 1+ and 155/93

I don't understand the reluctance to do a 24 hr urine either. They have usually done one on me when I first started having an elevated bp reading just to get a baseline. I hope DH can get everything straightened out.

Re : Genes

<t>After my second baby I took part in a research study that is investigating the genectic link to preeclampsia. We gave check swabs from me, my children and my husband. I think it is still an ongoing study because they asked me to do it again after my last baby so I don't know if they have any resu...

Re : Poll: Have you ever been told...

<t>I had one of the perinatologists tell me that my body was not meant to have anymore children. She tried to get me to sign papers to have my tubes tied 3 or 4 times when I was in the hospital on bedrest awaiting the birth of my fourth child. (I never did sign them) I asked my midwife what she thou...

Re : Catch up growth???

My little boy was 4lbs. 9oz. when he was born this February. He weighed 17lbs when they weighed him at the Dr. a few days ago. It takes a while but they catch up. I have read that most preemies are totally caught up both physically and developmentally by age 2.

Re : My wife was diagnosed 9/25/06 - I have questions!

<t>It would be better to be safe. I frankly am surprised they sent your wife home to begin with, though I don't know everything that is going on with her. I was hospitalized as soon as I was diagnosed this last time at 31 weeks and told I could not go home until I had the baby. I ended up delivering...

I agree you should at least be monitored in the hospital until they decide to deliver where the baby and you can be checked daily.

Re : postpartum hypertension - really worried

<t>Sorry you are feeling so nervous and stressed out I know it is scary when you don't feel in control of what your body is doing to you. I took procardia until about 3 months postpartum when my midwife finally told me to see my family doctor my reading was then about 130/85 and my family doctor let...

Re : how do i add a pic on here

I am having problems too. I am not very technically inclined. The instructions in the link say something about a photobucket. I have no idea what a photobucket is. Can anyone shed more light on this topic?

Re : Could I have Preeclampsia

It sounds to me like you are headed in that direction too. Your doctors must think the same to do the 24 hr urine. Watch for symptoms such as your hands or face swelling, headache, or seeing floating lights. Good luck!, and keep us updated with your condition.
