today's apt --probable loss
<t>Well, the doctor thinks I've got a "blighted ovum" since we couldn't see a fetal pole on ultrasound. She ordered two HCG's (should get final results Friday) and said if they weren't conclusive, she'd do another U/S in a week or so.<br/> <br/> As this wasn't a planned pregnancy and we didn't have ...

I wouldn't have been able to wait either. I hope it was just a false negative because it was early. Best wishes--

Re : Very bad news, we need your prayers
<t>Did I miss something? Did we find out if "Sam" is a boy or girl? I thought we were still cheering for team yellow! Or is this an either/or name? Just wondering if I'm spacing out...<br/> <br/> I'm SO glad that you're getting some positive news and getting settled into that hospital room. Let's ho...

I'm with Lucy...if there's enough hormone to cause symptoms, my non-doctor brain says that surely it must be enough to show on a test? Of course, I could be totally wrong! LOL

Re : can't get over PE...advice please?
<r>Oh Holli, I'm so sorry! Preeclampsia is scary business and anyone who doesn't undestand how completely it can affect your life obviously hasn't had to deal with it in theirs! It is just as life-threatening as having been in a car crash...remember that and maybe even use that as an explanation, if...

Re : What foods are high in iron?
<t>When I was anemic in my first pregnancy, my doctor said that the easiest iron to absorb from food products came in the form of red meats. Not the most healthy of foods, obviously, but used in low-fat, sparing ways, it can be a great source of iron. Personally, I love to sautee spinach with garlic...

Re : is it indigestion?
<t>Oy, Amanda, I'd be confused too! <br/> <br/> First, I'm glad they checked your kidneys and liver and that everything came back okay --that is our biggest concern about such symptoms in relation to preeclampsia. Still, it doesn't help to make the symptoms go away at all, does it!?!<br/> <br/> Sinc...
