Six weeks along...

Hi, everyone! It's my second time here. Thanks to you guys, I was able to recognize PE back in 2007, and my son was born in May of 2007, 6 weeks early. It was a terrifying delivery, but we're all doing well now. (Here's what happened the first time around: http://brigidkemmerer.blogspot.com/2010/11/...

Thank you all!

Since it's Thanksgiving, I wanted to give a shoutout to everyone on these message boards. My son was born on May 4, 2007 after a harrowing experience with preeclampsia, and I have everyone on these boards to thank for your support. Thanks so much. I could never have gone through it without you. http...

Re : Strange Question

<t>Here are my thoughts, and you can read my original posts for the * I went through to get an accurate PE diagnosis. One of the many times I went to L&D, the midwife diagnosed me with a UTI, and said she didn't think I had PE, because I just wasn't enjoying my pregnancy. When I was induced at a...

Re : Should I get a second opinion?

<t>UPDATE.<br/> <br/> First of all, a HUGE thank you to all of you who encouraged me to get a second opinion. Wednesday morning, I saw a doctor at another hospital, at a high risk OB practice. (I was lucky to get in.) He was shocked at my BP (170/110), and the fact that my urine showed 3+ almost imm...

Re : People are driving me crazy!

<t>That sucks that you're getting the "stop worrying" talk. I am so sick of hearing it myself. On the other board I posted that there was a midwife who gave me a ten minute lecture that I just don't know how to enjoy my pregnancy. Well, I enjoyed it right up until they told me they were going to ind...

Re : Should I get a second opinion?

<t>Thanks for all the concern, guys. I really appreciate knowing there are people out there who care.<br/> <br/> Well, I saw my regular doc today. My BP was 138/88, so just under the danger level. Same amount of protein in the urine, but he said not to worry. I have felt pretty good for the last 24 ...

Re : Should I get a second opinion?

<t>Sadly, I'm not, but we'll see what he says tomorrow. Today I've pretty much been at home, doing nothing. Yesterday morning I ended up in L&D AGAIN (second time this weekend, third time in a week), and got a third diagnosis. She said she disagreed with the doc Friday night who said preeclampsi...

It's gross, but I'm doing it. I'll be done in the morning, thank god.

Re : Should I get a second opinion?

<t>I felt pretty good much of the day, but now I feel like crap, and I'm camped out in the bedroom. I was having a lot of what I think were braxton hicks contractions a while ago, but they have stopped now. I am glad I had someone taking me seriously last night, despite the crap left side BP reading...

Re : Curious...why take BP on left side?

<t>Thanks, Julie, for the link to the doctor's opinions. VERY informative. So what should I do when they keep insisting that I lie on my side? Last night when I was in there, they made me lie on my left side the ENTIRE time I was waiting in L&D. If I shifted position, she came in and told me I n...
