Re : Anyone here deciding to just have one child?
We really struggled with this as well. We ended up trying for 18 mos and reached our "deadline". I have my tubal consult next month, so Jacob will be our only child. I do have 2 stepchildren, which does give Jacob siblings, even though he is not growing up with them on a day to day basis.

Re : How are you Angela?
Thanks for checking in Angela. I am so glad that your husband and Hayden are helping you heal. I have heard that children are closer to God, so he may be passing on a message:) Big hugs.

Re : Hi again ... and sad day (Essure) (UPDATE)
I think it's very SAD to end our childbearing years, no matter what our age. I have my consult in February to get my tubes tied and I am very SAD and I turn 44 this week!! It's the end of an era.

Re : experiences with very premature / disabled child
<t>You are very wise to consider this scenario. I echo everything Jamie has said. This is not the life I thought I would have and certainly not the life I would have chosen for our family. With that said, I would much, much rather have our beautiful boy and only child here with us, than no child at ...
