Re: New member and just looking for some support

Just checking in on you. How're you doing? After PE with my 1st 2 pregnancies we were not planning a 3rd one. But at a annual exam my BP was very high and I had to go off BCP and on BP meds...and about 6 months later we had a little accident who will be 5 this month. :) It was stressful and I felt u...

Re: Im back!

Congrats Laura!! I'm so happy for you. :) It is my understanding that having a slightly higher baseline means it's possible you have some slight underlying kidney damage that hasn't resolved yet from prior PE. But, like the previous poster said, that doesn't mean you have more of a chance of getting...

Re: OB and MFM... two totally different opinions

My OB had headaches that were not relieved by Tylenol as a go directly to L&D symptom. "The" PE headache & blurry vision isn't caused by high BP - it's caused by brain swelling which can surprisingly happen with a normal BP. If it were me, I'd call in to my OB and/or go ahead into L&D. Better to be ...

Re: Does this BP make sense?

Those don't seem like labile pressures as much as they just seem wonky. Sometimes if my batteries were getting low I'd get weird readings like that so that would be my first suggestion. Also, you may know this already but sit with both feet flat on the floor and sit for about 5 minutes before taking...

Re: Baby #5, 34w, my body is driving me crazy here...

Just checking in on you! Just a note on labs - I always thought that if my labs were good I was fine but my OB dashed those hopes. She told me that labs can change very quickly so good labs merely means at the time they were done you were ok but that doesn't mean that tomorrow they might not be good...

Re: Baby #5, 34w, my body is driving me crazy here...

Welcome & sorry to hear things aren't going well! If the headaches continue to bother you I might reconsider checking back into the hospital. Whether they can improve the headache or not (depending on what meds you can take) being in the hospital might be the best place for you. If anything happens ...

Sounds like you have a good plan and that they are monitoring you well. Take it easy and rest, rest, rest! Don't forget to do kick counts.

Re: Going for another try to have a baby! Scared, excited!

I'm so sorry for all of your losses. (((HUGS))) While IVF and being an older mom can be risk factors for PE it can just as easily happen to younger mothers who conceived naturally. I'm sure you will have a host of Dr.'s monitoring you in your next pregnancy and hopefully, even if PE shows up again i...

Re: Baby Annabelle was born yesterday...

Congrats!! So happy you and little Annabelle are doing well. Would love to see pics when you get a chance! Funny coincidence, I have a friend who has 4 boys (7 and under!) and is about 35 weeks pregnant with a girl and they are naming her Annabelle. :)
