Re: Protein!

I wish you were still in the hospital being monitored! Yes, protein can changed rapidly - in a matter of hours it can go from 100's to 1,000's. But, protein level isn't what would likely get you delivered and isn't what worries me most - baby not doing well on NST's is! If it were me I would not fee...

Re: Swelling at 9 weeks?

I'm so sorry to hear what you are going through but I hope it will be reassuring to know it's too early for the swelling to be related to PE. PE doesn't usually show up until after 20 weeks but we have had some posters diagnosed as early as 19 weeks. In order to have PE you have to have developed a ...

Re: Stressing and Confused!

So frustrating I know!! But, you are NOT an idiot and you are just following Dr's orders by going in when your BP is high. And you have to keep doing it. With PE it is normal for BP to bounce around from low to high and back - it's called having labile BP's. Labile BP can happen for a few days or fo...

Re: Hi :)

Having a protein of 193 already doesn't mean you are destined for PE. That's the good news! The bad news is you may have some underlying kidney damage that is causing you to spill protein. But this is why you do a baseline before 20 weeks - to see where you are. If you get to 300 they won't panic be...

Re: Evicting Baby Tomorrow

Wishing you easy labor and strong healthy lungs! With my 3rd we were just trying to get to 36 weeks & we planned to do an amnio that day but I looked & felt so awful we skipped the amnio and my OB sent me straight to L&D. That was right at 36 weeks and she had great lungs & never need O2.

Re: Could this new hypertension be postpartum related?

Sorry you are still having BP issues. I spent a year PP with higher BP & worse BP spiking issues than I did while pregnant (even though I was on meds for the entire pregnancy). Sometimes it takes a lot of "tinkering" with different meds and dosages to get BP under control. I had several ER trips for...

Re: Pre-e 2nd pregnancy. Stupid doctors

I completely agree with Caryn - if it were me I would go to a large hospital and be seen immediately. Your symptoms including the nausea, "bugs", headache and "feeling a little crazy" are all symptoms of pre eclampsia. I honestly can't imagine why they'd take you off BP meds with pressures like that...
