Re : VBAC question - 36 weeks and still ok
<t>I had HORRIBLE anxiety during my elective induction with #2. So much so that they offered me Ativan! Turns out some of it was PTSDish but more of it was due to the adrenal response of a nasty anaphylactic reaction to the abx I was given. <br/> <br/> All that to say that anxiety during labor reall...

Re : curious
I wasn't either. We tried an elective induction at 39w5d during which I didn't progress, and baby stayed put till 41w exactly.

Re : IUGR
<t>What about an abrupt change in fundal height?<br/> <br/> I measured 3 weeks ahead consistently until my BP went up. Suddenly, I was measuring "right on". My OB didn't bat an eye (I was 35w, FWIW.) but my 2nd DD was nearly 2 lbs larger than my first and only a week "older" gestationally. Makes me ...

<t>quote:Originally posted by Caryn<br/> <br/> They'll label you a *future* chronic -- that's what I am. :-)<br/> <br/> Yup... me too! My OB frowned at my annual this year when we talked about the fact that my pressures were borderline (128/90ish--my diastolic always is the issue) at 4 months pp--af...

Re : On BP Meds.. For How long?
<t>With my first, I went home from the hospital on 100mg Aldomet 3x a day. At a week or so pp, my pressures still were 160/100 on meds, but by 2 weeks pp, my pressures had stabilized enough on meds that my OB took me off. I have no idea whether they stayed down or not, because no one followed up unt...

Re : back to back babies
<t>From things I have read here, there is speculation that the remodeling of the spiral arteries that feed the uterus/placenta takes a while to go back to the non-pregnant state. So conceiving again with close spacing may have a benefit because those arteries still are in their "remodeled" form. <br...

Re : A Strange Question
YUP! I stare...at ankles, hands, faces trying to see if they're more swollen than they were the day before. And I too pry about BP and dips.
Doesn't help that my two closest friends had PIH/pre-e in their first pregnancies and another good friend is pregnant with #2 after PP HELLP!

Re : Home from hospital
I was discharged on BP meds 3 days after delivery with pressures like that. By 2w pp I was off the meds.
Of coure, my OB sucked and never ran any labs, so who knows what might or might not have been brewing.
